Little Grand Rapids RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the community on May 24th at 12:10am.

Police arrived to the residence where they located a 66-year-old woman deceased. The cause of death has not been released, however, police say the death is being investigated as a homicide.

A 22-year-old female was arrested on scene and remains in police custody.
