Disappearance of Rajwinder Bains being investigated as a homicide

Surrey RCMP said the Integrated Homicide Investigation (IHIT) team has taken conduct of the investigation of Rajwinder Bains, 38, after her body was found.

Bains was reported missing by her family on January 23. Police will not be releasing any other information surrounding the investigation at this time.

RCMP investigating two suspicious deaths in Borden-Carleton and Hampton, P.E.I.

East Prince RCMP received a 911 call from a residence on Route 1 in Borden-Carleton, P.E.I. on February 18th at approximately 11:42pm.

Officers arrived to find a 27-year-old male deceased in the residence. A woman and 2 children were left unharmed at the home. It was reported that the suspect fled the home before police arrived. The suspect was located at approximately 2:30am on February 19th, deceased by his vehicle.

Sgt. Leanne Butler said “We do believe it’s not a random event, that they were aware of each other or know each other in some manner,”.

Homicide investigation launched after Calvin Kenny dies at Atlantic Institution in Renous, N.B

RCMP were called to the Atlantic Institution on February 18th at approximately 10:30am after Calvin Kenny, 27, was found badly injured in his cell. Kenny was serving a 12.5 year sentence in relation to the 2016 murder of Steven Miller.

Police sad Kenny died in the prison in the morning of February 18th. Cause of death has not been released at this time.

Update May 16th.
Police have charged 23-year-old Brandon Blake Colford with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Calvin Kenny in the Atlantic Institution.

Update: Charges Laid – Surrey RCMP investigating the fatal assault of Tee Bor

Surrey RCMP responded to a residence in the 13300 block of 105 Avenue after receiving a report of an assault on February 17th at 2:15pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 68-year-old Tee Bor suffering from serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police said the victim’s injuries were consistent with foul play.

Update July 15th
Integrated Homicide Investigation Team arrested 26-year-old Pee Lee Pi of Surrey on July 12 and charged him with the second-degree murder.

Man in his 30’s shot to death in Laval.

Laval police were called to a Condo building on Havre des Îles Avenue in Chomedy, on February 11th where they found a man in his 30’s in the parking lot of suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police have not released the identity of the deceased at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

Cocaine Smuggler Ray Kanho, fatally shot in Laval

Police said a passerby notified athorities after finding Ray Kanho, 42, on the ground suffering from injuries at Edimbourg St. and Potier St on February 13th.

Kanho was rushed to hospital where he died of a head wound on February 14th. No arrests have been made.

Ray Kanho was known to police and served 8 months in jail for his involvement in the 2006 Project Colisée investigation into the Rizzuto organization.

Elderly man and woman found dead in their Rothesay, N.B home.

Kennebecasis Regional Police Force received a 911 call from a concerned citizen on February 14th in the city of Rothesay. Police arrived at the home on Gondola Point Road, for a check on welfare where they found a 78-year-old woman and her 91-year-old husband deceased.

One of the deaths has been determined to be a homicide. At this time Police are not seeking any suspects and the public is not at any risk. 

Toronto Homicide #9 – Veronika Mrhova dies in Hospital 5 days after being shot in her car

Toronto police responded to sound of gunshots in the Park Lawn Road and Lake Shore Boulevard West area on February 10th at approximately 6:50am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 24-year-old Veronika Mrhova in her white Mercedes-Benz, suffering from gunshot wounds. Mrhova was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries on February 15th.

Police said two people were last seen fleeing in a dark-coloured SUV, east on Lake Shore Boulevard West. No arrests have been made at this time.
