Chelsey Lagrelle charged with manslaughter in the death of Samantha Sharpe

Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a report of a woman in distress on the Sunchild First Nation, on December 12th at approximately 2:35am.

Police arrived to find 25 year old Samantha Sharpe deceased, and an injured 24-year-old man. 

Police said the suspect, 23-year-old Chelsey Lagrelle, was arrested in a different location without incident. Lagrelle of Sunchild First Nation has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Samantha Sharpe, and  assault with a weapon. The victims and accused were known to eachother. 

Charges laid in the death of 17-year-old Braiden Jacob

Thunder Bay police responded to a report of a 
passerby seeing what they believed to be a body at the southern portion of Chapples Park, on December 9th at 11:30am.

Police arrived to find the body of a young man deceased. The victim was transported to Toronto where an autopsy was performed on December 12th. The results of the examination confirmed the body discovered was that of Braiden Jacob, 17, who had been reported missing earlier.

Thunder Bay Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old male in connection with the homicide of Braiden Jacob. Police said the man was arrested on December 14th at approximately 5:00pm.  The accused is facing a charge of second degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.

Surrey police investigating the city’s latest homicide

Surrey RCMP attended a residence in the 7000 block of 144A Street on December 7th at approximately 1:30am. 

Surrey Fire Service and paramedics contacted police after responding to report of a deceased adult, and finding the victim with injuries consistent with foul play. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released at this time.

RCMP said the investigation is ongoing and as that anyone with information to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).

Toronto Homicide #93 – Jonathan Gayle-West found suffering gunshot wounds, in a vehicle that crashed into a tree

Toronto Emergency crews were called to the area of  Islington Avenue near St. Andrews Boulevard, at approximately 6:20 pm on December 12th, on report of a vehicle that mounted the sidewalk and struck a tree.

Police and Paramedics located the vehicle with the victim inside. The victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

No other information is available at this time. 

The victim has been identified as Jonathan Gayle-West, 29, of Oshawa.

RCMP investigating a suspicious death in Dawson Creek BC

Dawson Creek RCMP responded to report of a man lying in the parking lot of Pouce Pub, on December 8th at approximately 7:48am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find the unresponsive man and rushed him to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Police said the death of the man is suspicious and are asking anyone who was at the Pouce Pub on Friday December 7 and into Saturday December 8,

North Bay police investigating a homicide

North Bay police responded to a firearms related incident in the Pinewood Park area, On December 5th at approximately 9:00pm.

Police arrived to find a man in a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.  

Police arrested Taylor Briscoe, 25, and Ryan Abraham, 26, of North Bay, and charged both with second-degree murder.


Toronto Homicide #92 – Jeffrey Parker dies from stab wound

Toronto police responded to a report of a Stabbing in the area of George Street and Gerrard Street East, on December 6th at approximately 4:40pm. 

Police arrived to find Jeffrey Parker, 35, of Toronto, with serious trauma. Parker was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Tyler Reynolds, 22, of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Two children ages 6 months and 3 years old, stabbed to death in Edmonton. Murder charges have been laid

Edmonton police responded to a domestic violence report on December 5th at approximately 5:35pm, at an apartment near 79th ave and 71 st. 

Police arrived to find an injured woman, who was allegedly being chased by a male suspect. Further investigation lead police to discover that there were two children involved, the youngest being the biological child of the suspect. 

Police were unable to locate the children during the initial search at the apartment where the children lived with their mother. 

The suspect was arrested at a garage that he had broken into, and after questioning the whereabouts of the children, police returned to the apartment. 

The children were found concealed under household items in a room that was being used as a storage room. Both children were deceased. Police charged the 29-year-old male suspect with 2 counts of second degree murder.

Police stated that the name of the accused will not be released as it does not serve an investigative purpose at this time. 

The Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed that two children ages six months and 3 years old were stabbed to death, and the manner of death is homicide.

Fatal Stabbing near Lime Ridge Mall is Hamilton’s 9th homicide of 2018

Hamilton police responded to report of a stabbing in the 
Upper Wentworth/Kingfisher area, on December 7th at approximately 4:30pm. The stabbing occurred in the plaza containing Toys R us.

Police and paramedics arrived to find two people suffering from stab wounds, one without vitals. The victims were rushed to hospital where one male victim was pronounced deceased. 

Police have identified the victim as 17-year-old Joshua Leo, of Hamilton. Police said an 18-year-old male turned himself into police on December 8th at approximately 11:00pm. 

Update Dawson Farr, 18, and Tae Yoon Park, Also known as Dan Park, 27, have both been charged with Manslaughter and Assault with a Weapon.
