Man found dead in Viger Square

Montreal patrolling police officers noticed an unresponsive man in Viger Square, located on Berri St. and Viger Ave on October 30th at approximately 9:00am.

Police said the victim’s body showed signs of violence, he was bleeding and on the ground. Despite life saving efforts the man was pronounced dead on-scene.

No other information is available at this time.

Rizig Bona charged with the death of his wife Anida Magaya

Emergency crews responded to a report of an injured female at a home in the 16100-block of 110 Avenue in Surrey, on October 5th.

Police arrived to find 42-year-old Anida Magaya deceased inside the home with injuries consistent with homicide.

Magaya’s husband,  44-year-old Rizig Bona, was arrested and charged with second degree murder in relation to her death.

RCMP investigating a Fort Liard NWT homicide

Fort Liard RCMP responded to a residence on Birch Road on report of an injured male on October 28th.

Police arrived to find the 34-year-old victim deceased at the scene. The Northwest Territories RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services are assisting with the investigation.

Police arrested 21-year-old female has been detained and remains in custody. A publication ban is in effect, no other details can be released at this time.

Igloolik RCMP charge Jerry Ulayuruluk with murder

Igloolik RCMP responded to a report of an assault on October 26th, where a teenage girl had been injured.

Police arrived to find a girl suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local health centre where she died of her injuries. Police have not released the age or identity of the victim at this time.

RCMP arrested Jerry Ulayuruluk, 43, of Igloolik, and charged him with one count of murder.

Update, Victim Identified – Calgary police investigation a fatal shooting in Penbrooke Meadows

Calgary  police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Pensville Close South East on October 24th at approximately 6:30am on report of a shooting.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and located the male victim. He was declared deceased at the scene. No other information is available at this time.

Calgary police have identified the victim as Aram Nadirl, 19. Police are asking that anyone who may have interacted or seen NADIRI between 9 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, and 6:30 a.m., on Wednesday Oct. 24, to contact the police non-emergency number 403-266-1234,

Ahmed Azmi Ahmed, dies of gunshot wounds in Edmonton’s latest homicide

Edmonton police responded to a weapon’s complaint at a commercial business near 96 Street and 105A Avenue on October 23rd at approximately 9:30am.

Police arrived to find Ahmed Azmi Ahmed, 39, suffering from gunshot wounds at his place of employment. Ahmed was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Pukatawagan RCMP lay charges in June Murder

Pukatawagan RCMP responded to a report that an 18-year-old male was transported to a nursing station where he was pronounced deceased, on June 8th at approximately 11:40pm.

An autopsy was conducted and determined the cause of death to be a homicide.

Nikosis Bighetty, 20, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter on October 25th in relation to the death. Police said the accused and the victim were known to each other.

Dany Mudingila Mutombo, identified as victim of a fatal shooting in Edmonton

Edmonton police responded to report of an injured male at Community League hall, near 40 Avenue and 117 Street, at approximately 2:30 a.m., on October 21st.

Police arrived to find Dany Mudingila Mutombo, 37, suffering from serious injuries. Mutombo was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Edmonton police released the cause of death on October 23 and said Mutombo died as a result of a gunshot wound and the manner of death is homicide.
