Wendy Boland, killed at her Bracebridge home

OPP responded to a 911 call on May 26th shortly after 9pm of  a report of a disturbance at a home on Wellington Street.

Police and Muskoka EMS arrived to find Wendy Boland 63 on the ground. Despite life saving efforts Wendy Boland was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bryan Boland 67, of Bracebridge has been charged with first degree murder. Police have not released the cause of death or the relationship between the victim and the accused.

Nancy McGrath found dead in Carling Township

The OPP Canine Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Helicopter located the body of Nancy McGrath 39, after she was reported missing on May 27th.

McGrath’s body was found in a rural area of Carling Township,  and the cause of death has yet to be released. An autopsy was scheduled to take place on May 30th.

Vincent Barnes 26, of Carling Township is charged with second degree murder.

Update, Victim Identified: Man shot to death in Mississauga residential neighborhood

Peel police were dispatched to the area of Meadows Boulevard and Bishopstoke Lane after receiving several reports of shots fired on May 29th at approximately 7pm.

Const. Harinder Sohi said the victim was found with obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Peel pollice have identified the victim as Nadeem Rahaman 24, of Mississauga.

Montreal’s 11th homicide, is the city’s 6th homicide for the month of May

Montreal police were called to a residence on Roi-René Boulevard on May 27th at 4:30 pm, after a woman called 911 on report of a dead man.

Police said the victim had been shot and was known to police.

a report in La Presse  identified the victim as Mustapha Danach, 30, and said that he had ties to Lebanese mafia and Italian organized crime.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Arrest made in the stabbing death of Joshua Elliott

According to police, Joshua Elliott, 21, was found collapsed on Dundas Street in Beaverton on May 26th, at around 10:30 pm.

Elliott was rushed to an Orillia hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy confirmed the cause of death to be a stabbing.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Lucas Bovell, 24, was arrested on June 26th in Toronto and charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Joshua Elliott.

Manslaughter charge laid in Norway House death

RCMP were called to a Norway House home on May 26th at around 5am on report of a disturbance.

Police located an injured 31 year old man at the scene. The victim was taken to a local nursing station where he died of his injuries.

A 27 year old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection to the fatal beating.

Update Victim Identified: Brampton Shooting Victim Dies In Hospital

Peel Regional Police responded to report of a shooting in the Rattlesnake Road and Desert Sand Drive area in Brampton om May 25th at 10:30pm.

Police located a 33 year old male with obvious signs of trauma. The man was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

The victim’s name will not be released at this time.

Police have identified the victim of last weeks shooting as Sean Grant 33.

19 year old charged with the death of a teen in Fishing Lake Metis Settlement

Elk Point RCMP responded to report of a shooting on Fishing Lake Metis Settlement on May 22, at approximately 5:15am.  The caller told police that a male had been shot following a disturbance and that he was dead.

Police arrived to find 16 year old Merle Gabriel Eli Lajimodiere dead at the scene.

Ashton Patrick Callioux, 19, also of Fishing Lake Metis Settlement has been charged with second degree murder.

Second degree murder charge dropped in Edmonton hit and run.

Police said an 18 year old man was allegedly struck by a Ford F150 truck after an altercation in Edmonton’s West end on May 22nd.

Jade Belcourt died in hospital of his injuries. The Medical examiner determined the cause of death to blunt craniocervical spine trauma, and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.

Justin Handbury, 31, turned himself into police on May 24th.

Handbury’s charges are as follows:
second degree murder, attempt to commit murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000, failing to stop at the scene of an accident (x2) and breach of recognizance (x3).

Update May 28th
Edmonton police have said that new information has led investigators to withdraw the charges against Handbury including second-degree murder. Police are not releasing any other details at this time.
