Regina police responded to a report of a weapons offense at a houseparty on October 14th at approximately 12:30am, in the 900 block of Cameron Street.
Police arrived to find a 16-year-old girl suffering from serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the girl was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity will not be released at this time, at the request of her parents.
Regina police arrested a 15-year-old on October 14th and charged him with Second-degree murder. The youth cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The 17-year-old male youth has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Erica Hill O’Watch. O’Watch was fatally stabbed by the youth, just above the collar bone, hitting her jugular vein and entering her lung.
