York Regional Police responded to a plaza located at 3850 Steeles Avenue West in the City of Vaughan for a report of gunshots on September 21st at approximately 8:00 pm.

Police  arrived to find a 49-year-old male victim at the rear of the plaza, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the suspect fled in a vehicle but were found shortly after the shooting. Three teens aged 18, 16 and 15, were located and taken into custody in Toronto.

Update September 24th
York Regional Police have identified the victim as Behget Toma Eyup, 49, from Tottenham. His cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds.
