Update – Woman found dead in ​Gatineau being investigated as a homicide

​Gatineau police were called to a home at 222 rue Napoléon-Groulx, on January 30th on report of a deceased woman.

Police were investigating the death as suspicious, however an autopsy completed on February 1st revealed the woman’s death to be a homicide.

Police have not released the victim’s name or cause of death.

Update February 15th
Police have identified the victim as Claire Hebert, 58. An autopsy report revealed the cause of death to be head trauma. Hebert’s son, Denis Junior Dompierre, 38, has been charged with second degree murder.
