31 year old woman found dead in a Windsor apartment.

Windsor police responded to a report of a sudden death at an apartment building located at the corner of University Avenue West and McKay Avenue on June 10th at 10:00pm.

Officers arrived to find a 31 year old woman deceased. An autopsy was completed on June 11th and revealed the manner of death to be a homicide. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Update – Suspicious death of Leonard Damm being investigated as a homicide

Windsor police responded to a report of an injured man at a residence located in the 3200 block of Bloomfield Road on February 18th at 4:00pm.

Police arrived to find Leonard Damm, 73, deceased. Initially police classified the death as suspicious, however an autopsy performed the following day revealed the death to be a homicide.

The cause of death has not been released and no arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830.

Update April 23.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Yusuf Ali 19, for first degree murder in relation to the death of Leonard Damm . Ali is described as being a black male, slim build, approximately 125 lbs, approximately 6’3 in height. If you see Yusuf Ali, do not approach him, call 911 immediately. Police believe Yusuf Ali has fled the country.

16 year old Chance Gauthier shot to death in a Windsor alley

Wondsor police were dispatched to the 900 block of Church Street after receiving a report of a male laying in the alley on February 14th shortly after 7:00am.

Police arrived at the scene to find 16 year old Chance Gauthier dead from a gunshot wound. The murder weapon was not recovered.

Police arrested Mal Chol, 20, of Waterloo on February 17th. Chol has been charged with: First degree murder, Kidnapping and Forcible confinement.

Police are still searching for Nouraldin Rabee, 20, of Windsor.  Rabee is wanted for First degree murder, Kidnapping and Forcible confinement. He is described as 6’2, 150 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He is to be considered armed and dangerous. DO NOT approach him dial 911.

 

Update: 23 year old man shot to death in Windsor

Windsor police were called to the area of 1100 block of Heathfield Court on October 4th at approximately 1:30 am on report of shots fired.

Police arrived at the scene to find several witnesses screaming that someone had been shot. Police found the 23 year old man suffering from a gunshot would outside of a home.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. No other information has been released at this time.

Update November 6th
On November 5th, at approximately 11:30 pm Windsor police seized a white Pontiac Torrent from the 7300 block of Tranby Avenue that was believed to be involved in the incident. Two men were arrested in relation to the homicide on November 6th at approximately 8:00am. Police have not released any other details at this time.

Update November 7th
Neil Tap, 20, of Windsor has been charged with first degree murder, 4 counts of breaching a probation condition and 2 counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Idrisso Palmer, 19, of Windsor has been charged with first degree murder and breach recognizance .

Dazzmirhal Scott, a 24 year old female from Windsor has been charged with 2 counts of being an accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a prohibited weapon (unrelated to the murder).

Windsor police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Sumar AL-Rubayi on a first degree murder charge. AL-Rubayi is described as a middle eastern male, 5’10”, 200lbs with short dark hair and brown eyes.

Windsor’s Third Homicide Of 2017 identified: Injured man found on sidewalk

Police were called to the 2900 block of Tecumseh Rd East on April 29th at approximately 3:20am on report of an injured man on the sidewalk.

Officers found the man who was then transported to hospital by paramedics, and died of his injuries later that day.

Police have not released the name of the victim or cause of death at this time.

Update May 25
Investigators have identified the victim as Steven Hill, who is also know as Steven Kiyoshk 43 of Windsor. Police said the case of death was blunt force trauma, and said they believe Hill was struck by a vehicle.

The first homicide of 2017 was Dallas Nelson, and the second was an unnamed man.

William Green charged with murder in Windsor’s second homicide of 2017

Windsor police responded to report of a shooting on Elsmere Avenue just after 12:00am on March 18th. Police found a 59 year old man suffering from a serious gunshot wound.

The man was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.

William Green 53 was arrested at the scene and is facing a first degree murder charge in the death of the man.

This is the second Windsor homicide of 2017.  Windsor’s first homicide of 2017 was Dallas Nelson.

Dallas Nelson shot and killed Windsor’s first homicide of 2017

Windsor police were called to a home in the 700 block of University Avenue East on February 21st at around 5pm on reports of gunshots. Police arrived at the scene to find 19 year old Dallas Nelson suffering from a gunshot wound.

Nelson was rushed to hospital where he died from his stomach wound.

At around 10:45pm police visited an apartment in the 8700 block of Riverside Drive east and arrested 45 year old David Formosa. Police said Nelson and Formosa were known to each other.

One charged and three people wanted in Windsor homicide

It has been alleged that the four people lured the 26 year old male victim to a Tim Hortons on October 18th, when they abducted the victim.

The victim was found the following day bound, beaten and stabbed multiple times in an apartment building on 605 Mill Street.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died October 27th.

Police said the witness who called the assault in was 67 year old Walter Smith. Police believe that Smith was involved in the homicide  and has since been charged with forcible confinement and murder.

Windsor police are looking for three other suspects. Dustin Schuh, 26, Daniel Shaw,38,  and Melissa Luyton, 32 all of Windsor, are wanted for kidnapping, forcible confinement and murder.

Alekesji Guzhavin shot to death in Windsor

Two days before Christmas, Alekesji Guzhavin 31 of London Ontario was shot and killed at a Windsor Ontario home. Police responded to a 911 call and found Guzhavin dead and another man Gregory Henriquez injured.

Dia’Eddin Hanan of Windsor has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree murder.

Police have not released motive, they did say Guzhavin was facing many charges at the time of his death, including two counts of attempted murder.
