Thunder Bay Police investigating death of a man on Marks Street

Thunder Bay Police responded to a 911 call reporting an injured male, on May 22 at approximately 4:50pm. Police arrived to the Marks Street location and found the man in serious condition.

Paramedics rushed the injured man to hospital where the victim died of his injuries.

Thunder Bay Police said the autopsy results confirmed the man died as a  result of the trauma received in an altercation just prior to being located.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Update: Mannie Spence found dead in Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay police have charged 42 year old Armand Cummings with manslaughter after Mannie Spence, 35,  was found dead on South Court Street on September 15th.

An autopsy was performed, however the cause of death will not be released.

The death of Mannie Spence is the 8th Thunder Bay homicide of 2016.

Update February 23, 2017

Thunder Bay police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Armand Cummings after he missed a court appearance scheduled for February 21. anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or www.tipsubmit.com.

A Domestic assault takes the life of Leslie Moonias

Thunder Bay Police were called to a home on McKellar Street on September 8th on report of an unresponsive male found on the lawn of a home. Police arrived to find 20 year old Leslie Moonias dead at the scene.

Police have not released the cause of death, however they did say Moonais suffered visible trauma and that the death was domestic related.

Kirsten Faith Wesley 20, has been arrested and is facing a charge of second degree murder of her boyfriend Moonias.

Brent Donio 18 Thunder Bay’s latest homicide victim

Brent Donio, 18, was killed during a violent assault, outside a Windsor Street housing complex just after midnight on July 13th.

Thunder bay police have stated that Clinton Nicholas Netemegesic 26 had turned himself into police in the afternoon of July 13th, has been charged with second degree murder in the stabbing death of Brent Donio 18.

Though the Thunder Bay Police stated on their web page that it was a stabbing death, they also reported that the results of the autopsy will not be released.

George James Gerard dies from his injuries

Police were called to Casablanca Apartments in Thunder Bay on January 28th, about a disturbance in progress. When police arrived they found Nicholas Necan assaulting George Gerrard. Gerard was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.

Nicholas Joseph Necan 37, was charged Friday in the death of George James Gerard 60.

Charlotte Hudson murdered in Thunder Bay

A neighbor called EMS to a home on January 13th. When paramedics arrived they immediately called police.

Police have not said how Charlotte Hudson 40, died.

Police have arrested Kimberley Fox, a Thunder Bay woman who was sentenced on an aggravated assault charge in 2015, in the death of her boyfriend back in 2012.  Kimberley Fox never served any jail time for her crime. Fox has now been charged with second degree murder in the case of Charlotte Hudson.

Police say Alcohol was a contributing factor.

House fire deemed homicide claimed the lives of two victims, Anne Chuchmuch & Wilfred Pott

Thunder Bay Fire crews were called to a house fire on December 27th. Wilfred Pott 60, one of the victims was rushed to hospital where he died as a result of the fire. Anne Chuchmuch 50, who was thought to be the second victim, was pronounced dead at the scene. Although forensics still had to prove with DNA testing that the body was Chuchmuch.

**UPDATE**

Police said the C.F.S. lab sent confirmation of Chuchmuch’s identity on Friday January 15.  Police  have proceeded with charges against Benjamin Ronald Marki 40, who had been renting a room at the couple’s home on Brant Street in Thunder Bay.

Larissa Charlie-Stillaway, 22, dies after ‘serious assault’

Cruz Pelletier charge was elevated from aggravated assault to second degree murder following the death of 22-year-old Larissa Charlie-Stillaway on June 17th.

22 year old Larissa Charlie-Stillaway died from injuries sustained during a very serious assault which took place at her residence in the Totem Trailer Court on the morning of June 16, 2015.
