Niagara Regional Police were called to Queenston Street in St. Catharines (between Calvin Street and Church Street) on April 13th at approximately 1:21am on report of an injured man lying on the sidewalk.
Police and paramedics arrived to find the man suffering from undisclosed injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The victim has been identified as 60 year old Glenn Joseph Hewer of the City of St. Catharines. Cause of death has not been released.

Niagara Regional Police arrested 36 year old Shaun Joseph Fitzsimons of the City of St. Catharines on April 16th. Fitzsimons is facing the alleged charge of second degree murder.
Police said that Justin Kuijer allegedly attacked Nathan Dumas 7, his stepson, on March 17th. Dumas was found severely injured at a home on Queenston St. in St. Catharines at approximately 10am.
Dumas was rushed to hospital where he dies of his injuries on March 18th. The cause of death will not be released at this time.
Justin Kuijer 43, of St. Catharines was arrested by the OPP in Kenora, Ontario March 21st. Police responded to a 911 call after a Warrant was issued for his arrest. Kuijer was found in a van, in a parking lot and arrested without incident.
Kuijer is facing a first degree murder charge in the death of Nathan Dumas 7.
Niagara Regional Police were called to a home at 17 Appleby Drive on February 10th at around 11:30 am. On arrival police found Angela McAdorey, 39, obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The estranged husband of the deceased Karl McAdorey was arrested at the scene and charged with second degree murder.
the cause of death has not been released at this time.
The body of Jessica Scanlon was found in her home at 13 Chetwood St. on Feb. 23. An autopsy by the coroner’s office revealed she was murdered.
Niagara regional police arrested the suspect on Monday. Jeremy Edward Gough of St. Catharines was charged with first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in bail court on March 19th.
