22-year-old Trent Mark Pascal, was found dead in front of a home in Regina early morning on May 25. Pascal was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Regina police have charged the Steven Blaine Pascal brother of Trent Pascal, with second degree murder.
The body of Alpheus Burns, 70, was discovered in his home in Melfort on May 18th. Burns is a member of James Smith Cree Nation. At the time Mounties classified the death as suspicious.
Candace Gail Moostoos, 34, turned herself in on May 19th and has been charged with second-degree murder. Moostoos and Burns were known to each other, however their relationship has not been confirmed.
The cause of death has not been released.
Police found the bodies of Gosling, 27, and her three children — Jenika 8, Landen, 7, and Janayah, 4 April 24th in their mobile home in Tisdale Sask.
After the killings, Steve O’Shaughnessy, 23, took the couple’s six-month-old baby girl from the trailer, drove to Prince Albert and killed himself in a home there. The baby was found unharmed.
The body found in the alley between Retallack Street and Robinson Street on April 22nd has been identified by police as Timothy Rae Evenson, 55.
No suspects named or charges laid,
a 24-year-old man whose name had not been released has been charged in relation to the stabbing death of William Johnston, 44. Johnston was found with serious stab wounds in a motel parking lot in Saskatoon early April 18th. Johnston later died in hospital.
Officers arrived at the house in the 100 block of Avenue I North Saskatoon, on April 1st, to find 16-year-old Danny Tsannie dead at the scene with a severe head wound.
Police continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.
A passerby found 18-year-old Brittney Gargol brutally injured in a ditch just past a Saskatoon’s landfill on March 25th. Gargol later died in the hospital.
Police are not saying how she died. Her death is classified as a homicide and is under investigation.
Police have charged a Prince Albert, Sask., man in the death of Monica Burns.
Todd Daniel McKeaveney, 38, will appear in Prince Albert provincial court Friday. He’s charged with second-degree murder.
Burns’s body was found Jan. 17 on a snowmobile trail northwest of the city.
According to RCMP, the victim and the man charged were not “known to each other”.
Update November 14th 2016
Todd Daniel McKeaveney entered a plea and pleaded guilty to manslaughter on November 8th. He also pleaded guilty to committing an indignity to a human body.
The Crown says it will seek adult sentences in the case of two 16-year-old boys charged with the first-degree murder of Hannah Leflar, 16 .
That will mean longer sentences if the teens charged in Regina’s first homicide of 2015 are convicted.
Leflar, 16, was found dead in her Regina home Jan. 12. Two teens, also 16, were later arrested and charged by Regina police. Their names can not be publicized because of their age.
Update July 7th 2017
Skylar Prockner, 19, Leflar’s ex boyfriend who was 16 at the time of the murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment with no eligibility for parole for 10 years.
