Samantha Higgins’s remains were found under a bridge near Hinchinbrooke, QC on July 7th.
The mother of two young children, a four-year-old girl and an infant son, was last seen leaving a friend’s home in Montreal early in the morning of July 7.
Nick Fontanelli, Higginns fiancé has since been charged with first degree murder.
Police responded to an emergency call on July 5th and found Yvon Flageole, 78, dead in an apartment in Rouyn-Noranda.
Michel Gauthier 38, was arrested and taken into police custody.
The circumstances surrounding the death are still unknown, however Gauthier, was charged with first degree murder Monday July 6th.
The baby’s mother, also the man’s wife, called police Sunday evening when Rafal Zembowicz, and baby Adam didn’t return to Montreal home after leaving earlier in the day.
Rafal Zembowicz 39, and Adam Zembowicz 10 months were found dead July 5th in a shed on Zembowicz property in what appears to be a murder suicide.
An autopsy will be performed on both bodies to determine the cause of the deaths.
Little information has been released in the case of the Terrebonne double murder.
The bodies of a 37 year old man and a 36 year old woman were found inside a vehicle June 3rd in a parking lot in Terrebonne.
Police said the pair had been shot. Police have not yet released the identities of the two bodies.
Marie-Josee Sills, 30, and Benoit Cote, 51, died after they were shot July 3 outside a law firm. The victims were rushed to Hospital. Police confirmed July 4 that they had died of their injuries.
Police are investigating three other deaths at a family home in Boucherville and they believe these murders are linked.
The victims in that home have been identified as Michel Dubuc and his two sons, Gabriel, aged 19 and Jeremie, 21.
This is still under investigation.
A 36-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Cote des Neiges May 30th.
Firefighters discovered her lifeless body in her apartment. Police say there were no marks of violence on the body, but circumstances have led them to believe the death is suspicious.
Serge Levac was alive when he was found by police in his home on May 28th. Police said he was suffering from a stab wound and was rused to hospital where he later died.
Daisy Lachance, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder in his death.
On May 21, a 911 caller alerted the Sûreté du Québec that they would find two wounded people in a home. When police arrived, the people were dead.
The victims are 51-year-old Louise Hamel, and 54-year-old Mario Cournoyer.
This is now believed to be a murder suicide, and the police do not have any suspects.
Chantal Demers 46, was missing since May 3rd before police found her body in a wooded area in the Portneuf region on the 10th.
Demers’ partner, Victor Poirier 47, was arrested several days after she disappeared and charged with assault causing bodily harm and first degree murder.
The body of Nellie Angutiguluk, an Inuit woman originally from Nunavik, was found inside an apartment in Côte-des-Neiges on May 18.
Police considered it a suspicious death at first, but have since ruled it a homicide.
Police are asking anyone with information about the victim to come forward or call police.
Kwasi Alfred Benjamin, 29, was charged on Thursday with the first-degree murder of Nellie Angutiguluk.
