20 year old Taylor Morrow-Flint was shot dead while in a home with friends on Ritchie Street in the city’s west end on February 24th.
There are no suspects at this time and no one else was injured in the shooting. Police believe that the shooting was targeted.
Taylor Morrow-Flint’d murder is the 4th for Ottawa this year as well as the second homicide this week, the other homicide being Mohamed Ali Hassan.
Mohamed Ali Hassan 19 was stabbed in Lawson park at around 9:30 pm on February 22. Police said Hassan was transported to hospital and died shortly after. Hassan had been stabbed about 18 times, police say.
Michael Leblanc 26, has been charged with second degree murder.
Hassan is Ottawa’s third homicide of 2016.
On January 31, Police were called to a shooting at the Shifa Restaurant, at around 5:30 p.m. Marwan Arab, 20 has been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was suffering from a serious gunshot wound to the chest but is expected to survive.
Police do not have a description of a suspect. No arrests have been made at this time.

Dady Junior Jean 41, was fatally shot outside his apartment building in Vanier, on November 14th.
Emergency crews rushed Jean to hospital where he died of his injuries.
No suspects have been named at this time.

Gatineau police were responding to reports of gunshots when they found the lifeless body of Christine Macneil inside a room at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Centre in Gatineau on October 19.
Police have no suspects at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
Macneil had told Ottawa police she was a victim of human trafficking before she was killed.
Macneil also had ties to an Ottawa crime family. MacNeil former boyfriend was Emilio Spezzano, brother of Giovanni “Johnny” Spezzano, who was member of the Hells Angels, but since died by suicide earlier this year.
The body of Deepak Beaudoin-Reichman 27, was found in the Kemptville Creek near Bishops Mills, on October 14th. Beaudoin-Reichmann’s family reported the Niagara Region man missing nine days before he was found.
Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down three possible witnesses. The three men were driving a silver half-ton pickup truck with a full cap in the back near the creek during the time Beaudoin-Reichmann was missing.
Cause of death has not been released. Autopsy results were inconclusive and further testing is required to confirm the cause of death.

Isaiah Clachar, 17, was stabbed to death Sept 20th in a fight that escalated quickly outside a High-rise building next to the building where another teen had been murdered in April.
Keanu Croteau, 18, and Mohamad Hamade, 25, of Ottawa, have been charged with one count each of second-degree murder and attempted murder.
Gino Langevin was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday July 22, the day after witnesses say Gail Fawcett was “stabbed by a naked man” in broad daylight in Ottawa Ontario.
Fawcett was rushed to hospital but later died from her injuries.
The attack started inside the home and ended on the street. The first-responding paramedic, witnessed the stabbing, kicked the knife away from the suspect and called for police.
Police and paramedics were called to a home in Orléans (an ottawa suburb) at July 7th for an emergency call. They found Michael McRae, 51 suffering from multiple stab wounds. McRae was taken to hospital,where he died from his injuries.

Police say it’s too early to determine whether the city’s third homicide of 2015 had any ties to gang activity.
Khalid Mohammad, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder. Abdulaziz Abdullah, 28, has been charged with accessory after the fact for allegedly helping Mohammad flee.
