Little information on the murder suicide in London

Not much information has been offered in London’s first homicide of 2016. Police were called to check on the welfare of occupants at an apartment on Grand Ave at around 5:30 pm on February 12th. Police found a woman dead in the apartment.

Hours later a man was found dead in a nearby auto garage. Police said the murder suicide was domestic related.

The names are not being released because the family has requested privacy. However neighbours were worried after the garage owner Mahmoud (Michele) Abdulrahim didn’t show up Saturday, could not be found.

Police investigate the deaths of Nicole Guimond & Travis Sayyeau

Around noon February 14th, officers with the OPP detachment in Napanee were called to a home in Odessa. On arrival police found Nicole Guimond 28 dead, and Travis Sayyeau, 24 suffering from serious injuries.  Sayyeau was transported to hospital where he later died.

Autopsies would be performed on February 16th to determine the cause of death.

Mississippi Mills councillor Bernard Cameron Shot and killed by daughters ex partner

On Thursday February 11th at about 7:30 a.m,  officers responded to reports of a shooting, at Bernard Cameron’s mansion on Strathburn Street in Almonte.  On arrival police found the body of the Mississippi Mills councillor Bernard Cameron 65, and his daughter, Sarah Cameron 28, who had also been shot but was rushed to hospital with with serious injuries and is expected to survive.

It was said that Porteous and Sarah were arguing, Bernard became involved, Porteous shot Bernard dead, shot Sarah and then turned the gun on himself.

Sarah Cameron’s ex partner and the father of their two children, Travis Porteous 33, was suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Protease was also transported to hospital where he later died.

 

Kiowa Wind McComb dies from a stab wound

Police were called to Gucci’s Bar and Grill in North York, on February 9th at around 2am.  Police found two men at the scene, both suffering from stab wounds. Both men were rushed to hospital where 20 year old Kiowa Wind McComb died shortly after. The other man is expected to survive.

Andre Appleton, 35, of Toronto, is charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.

Robert Veltheer 77 found dead in a Richmond Hill home

Robert Veltheer’s body was found at a home on Harding Boulevard in Richmond Hill, at around 9pm on February 7th.  York Regional Police said 77 year old Veltheer was found with “obvious signs of trauma” on his body.

A woman who lived in the home with Veltheer and his son, was the one who called 911. Police have not said how the woman is related, or who the home belonged to.

It was revealed shortly after that Veltheer was stabbed. Police found the weapon at the scene, but aren’t disclosing what it was at this time.

Jacob Veltheer, 30, the son of Robert, was spotted by police walking on Highway 48 on February 8th around 1:30 pm, he was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

22 year old Gianluca Cellucci of Richmond Hill dead in Vaughan stabbing

Emergency crews were called to the parking lot of Dave & Busters in Vaughan, at around 3am on February 7th, where they found two men, both 22 suffering from stab wounds.

22 year old Gianluca Cellucci, from Richmond Hill was pronounced dead at the scene, the other man, a 22 year old from Aurora was rushed to hospital but is expected to survive.

Nick Bagherzadeh, 20, of Richmond Hill, was arrested and will be charged with second degree murder and attempted murder.

One arrested in East End Toronto Homicide

A 911 call of a man in distress is now being investigated as a homicide after a man was found dead in the Toronto’s east end.

Police arrived at the apartment building, on Wakunda Pl. at 6:30 am February 7th. The victim a man in his 50’s, who has not been named was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a man was placed in custody on scene, no other details have been released at this time.

 

Tara Lynn Koiter charged with second degree murder after John Liggins stabbing

Brantford police responded to a call of a domestic disturbance in a townhouse complex on Sympatica Crescent at around 3am on February 6th.

Officers found John Liggins 44, suffering from a stab wound in the home. He was rushed to Brantford hospital where he died of his injuries.

Tara Lynn Koiter 32, the victim’s common law partner of 6 years, was arrested at the scene, and has since been charged with second degree murder.
