Update three men charged with first degree murder – Paviter Singh Bassi dies after an assault in Brampton Ontario

Peel police responded to reports of an assault taking place in the area of Sandalwood Parkway East and Cedarcliff Trail on March 19th at approximately 5:50pm.

Police found Paviter Singh Bassi, 21, suffering from life threatening injuries. Bassi was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on March 20th.

on March 20th Homicide investigators arrested and charged Karanvir Singh Bassi, 22, for first degree murder of Paviter Singh Bassi. Police said there is no familiar relationship between the victim and the accused.

Update March 22nd
On March 21st Peel police arrested Guryodh Singh Khattra 22, of Brampton and charged him with first degree murder in the death of Paviter Singh Bassi.

Update March 24th
On Friday March 23, police arrested  Gurraj Bassi, 21,  of  Brampton. Gurraj Bassi was charged with first degree murder.

Toronto Homicide #13 & 14 – Two people shot to death outside Play Time Bowl & Entertainment

Toronto police officers responded to a call for a shooting at 33 Samor Road, on March 17th at 10:08pm. Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook said police were told that shots were fired outside Playtime Bowl and Entertainment.

Police arrived to find to people suffering from gunshot wounds. A man in his 30’s was pronounced at the scene, and a woman in her 20’s was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries.

The victim’s identities have not been released at this time.

Update March 19th
Police have identified the victims as Thanh Tien Ngo, 32, and Ruma Amar, 29.  Police believe that Ngo was the target of the shooting, and that their is no known relationship between Ngo and Ms.Amar.

Investigators are looking for three suspects that fled the area westbound, in a dark vehicle. The suspects have been described as follows:
Suspect #1: male, wearing blue hooded shirt, black shoes
Suspect #2: male, wearing black hooded shirt, black shoes with white soles
Suspect #3: unknown description at this time

Update Arrests Made – Toronto Homicide #12 – Nnamdi Ogba shot to death

Toronto police responded to a report of a shooting at 49 Scarlettwood Court on March 16th at approximately 11:09pm.

Police arrived to find Nnamdi Ogba, 26, of Toronto, with apparent gunshot wounds. Ogba was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Homicide investigators have taken over the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Update March 29th
Trevaughan Miller, 19, of Toronto, and Abdullahi Mohamed, 22, of Toronto, were arrested and each charged with first degree murder.

Cory Fenn arrested in relation to a domestic related triple homicide in Ajax

Durham Regional  Police were called to a home on Hilling Drive in Ajax on March 14th at approximately 11am, after a female, who went to check on the well-being of her friend, The concerned woman  was met at the door by a man. She was refused entry and the man left in a vehicle.

Police arrived to find Krassimira Pejcinovski, 39, of Ajax and her son Roy Pejcinovski, 15 deceased at the scene. The third victim Venallia Pejcinovski, 13, of Ajax was transported to a trauma center with serious injuries and dies later that evening.

Cory Fenn, 29, was arrested in Oshawa on March 14th and charged with three counts of second degree murder.

Update March 23
Autopsies were conducted on the three victims. The autopsy revealed that two of the victims died of sharp force trauma and the third victim died of asphyxiation.

Sarnia police lay Manslaughter charge in August 2017 sudden death

Background: Sarnia Police Service responded to a sudden death in 700 block of Indian Road on August 9th, 2017. At the scene, police found a 38 year old male in medical distress. He was pronounced dead at the hospital due to an overdose on drugs.

On August 11, 2017, police searched the home in the 800 block of Devine Street in relation to the death. A  small quantity of crack cocaine was found in the home and Karen Ebel-Savage, 57, was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

On March 13th 2018 Sarnia police said further evidence was collected since the death, and Karen Ebel-Savage has since been charged with Manslaughter.

Ralph Henry Rudowski charged with the murder of Janice West in Wiarton, ON

Ontario Provincial Police said 60 year old Ralph Henry Rudowski was taken into custody on March 11th, and charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Janice West.

Janice West, 61,  was found deceased in a home in Wiarton, Ont., on March 7th. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

Police didn’t reveal whether the accused and the deceased were known to each other.

Andrew Slapkauskas charged with first degree murder following a fatal Napanee crash

OPP responded to report of a person speeding down Bridge Street on March 6th at around 3:30pm.

Police arrived to find a  collision. The driver who had been speeding suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive. The driver of the other vehicle, 88 year old Florence Wyatt-Morris was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Andrew Slapkauskas,42, of Belleville has been charged with:
First-degree murder
Attempted murder
Dangerous driving
Flight from police causing death.

Toronto homicide #11 – Dwayne Anthony Vidal, shot to death on Mount Olive Drive

Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting in the 19 Mount Olive Drive area on March 10th at approximately 5:44pm.

Police arrived to find the victim suffering from serious gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

An autopsy will be conducted on Sunday, March 11.

Update March 12th
Toronto police identified the victim as Dwayne Anthony Vidal, 31, of Toronto.  The autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the chest.

Update – Toronto Police calling the death of two people in North York Homicide #10

Toronto police responded to a medical complaint at 18 Graydon Hall Drive on March 6th.

Police arrived to find a  deceased man, 30, and a woman who was pronounced at the scene. Both had suffered obvious signs of trauma. Police have not released the cause of death.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Police are not looking for any other suspects.

Update March 21
Toronto police have released the identities of the two deceased. Police said that Mr. Onoseta Oribhabor, 30, of Edmonton was found deceased on the balcony of the apartment. The female victim has been identified as Essozinam Assali, 27, of Toronto. No one else is being sought by police.

Ottawa police make arrest in homicide investigation of Kalen Bryan-Bradley

Frontline officers attended the shopping mall for a suspicious incident complainant on March 4th at approximately 10:00pm.

Police arrived to find one man with injuries, and another man dead in a vehicle from an apparent stab wound. The victim has been identified as Kalen Bryan-Bradley 22, of Ottawa.

Miles Krzyzewski, 25, has been charged with second degree murder.
