Deidra Smith and Ghislain Robichaud of St Catharines, found dead near Haliburton

Haliburton OPP were called to the area of Glamor Lake Road in Highlands East Township on Sunday January 21st at approximately 4:45pm.

On January 27th police identified the victims as 35 year old Deidra Ann Smith and 34 year old Ghislain Robichaud, both from St. Catharines. Police are investigating the deaths as a double homicide.

Second degree murder charged laid in the case of missing woman, Yunying Pan, in Mississauga

Yunying Pan, 40,  of Mississauga, was reported missing after not being seen or heard from since Tuesday December 5, 2017.

The investigation of Pan’s disappearance has lead police to  the arrest of Shaofeng Han, 50, of Mississauga on January 26th.

Han has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Pan.

Adam Perron shot to death in Ottawa

Ottawa police responded to report of a shooting in the 100 block of McLeod Street, on January 18th at approximately 6:00am.

Police found the victim, Adam Perron, 22, suffering from life threatening injuries at the scene. Perron was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Nicholas Hickey dies after being struck by a vehicle, second degree murder charges laid

Ottawa police have laid charges in the pedestrian motor vehicle fatality that occurred on January 17th at approximately 8:30pm.

Police said 17 year old Nicholas Hickey was rushed to hospital in life threatening condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

Guillermo Escobedo-Hoyo, 37, was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

Investigators are asking for any witness to contact them at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493.

Toronto Homicide 3 and 4 – Nasurdin Nasir and Terrell Carr die of gunshot wounds

Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting at West Deane Park Drive and Rabbit Lane on January 19th at approximately 12:39 am.

On arrival police located four injured men, two of the men were rushed to hospital and the other two were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims have been identified as Nasurdin Nasir, 26, of Toronto, and Terrell Carr, 24. Both of the men died from gunshot wounds.

Update January 23

A Canada Wide Warrant has been issued for Ubaid Said, 21, of Toronto. He is wanted for two counts of Second-Degree Murder
and two counts of Attempted Murder. He is considered to be armed and dangerous, and members of the public should not approach him. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Jan Singh shot to death by her husband before he turned the gun on himself

Oakville police responded to a weapons related call from a home located at 1414 Summerhill Crescent, shortly before 5:00 a.m. on January 17th.

On arrival police found Prem Singh, 69 years, and Jan Singh, 70 years, both deceased. The investigation has revealed that Prem Singh shot his wife, Jan Singh, before sustaining a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police said there is no threat to public safety .

Update – 29 year old Holly Hamilton found dead in Hamilton Ontario

Holly was reported missing by her family on January 15th, she was last seen by members of her family in the evening hours of January 14th.

Holly Hamilton was found dead inside her 1996 white,  Ford Escort, at 95 Barlake Ave on  January 17th.

A man has been arrested, however police will not be releasing his identity or any other information at this time.

Update January 18th
The ex-boyfriend of Holly Hamilton, 30 year old Justin Dumphrey has been charged with second degree murder.

Update: Husband charged – 61 year old Mississauga woman stabbed to death by her husband

Mississauga police were called to a home on Marmac Crescent near Winston Churchill Boulevard and The Collegeway on report of a domestic disturbance on January 13th at approximately 1am.

Police arrived at the home to find a 61 year old woman dead. Police arrested the woman’s husband and transported him to hospital with a serious injury. One daughter of the accused was also transported to hospital for injuries, her sister was left unharmed.

Police have not released the name of the victim or the accused at this time.

Update January 20th
Robert (Bob) Bellevue, 61, has been charged with the first degree murder of his wife Elaine Bellevue, 61,. Bellevue has also been charged with attempted murder after police allege he tried to kill his daughter.

Baljit Thandi and her mother Avtar Kaur found dead in Brampton

Peel Regional Police responded to a call at a residence on Starhill Crescent on January 12th at approximately 10:45pm.

On arrival police found Baljit Thandi, 32, and her mother Avtar Kaur, 60, dead at the scene. Police said both Thandi and Kaur died from stab wounds.

Dalwinder Singh, 29, The husband of Baljit Thandi was found at the scene. Singh was arrested and charged with two counts of second degree murder.
