Update: Police investigating the death of a 39 year old Sturgeon Falls woman.

West Nipissing Police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment on William Street in Sturgeon Falls on November 14th at 11:30pm.

Police found an injured 39 year old woman in the apartment. She was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. A man was arrested at the scene.

Police said the investigation is criminal in nature. No other details have been released at this time.

Update November 19th
The victim has been identified as Tammy Avery 39. Marc Pierre Gauthier, 52, has been charged with first degree murder.

Update Toronto Homicide 54 – David Blacquiere dies of a stab wound

Toronto police were called to the area of Weston Rd. and Little Ave on November 14th at approximately 11:50am on report of an injured man.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a man in his 50’s suffering from a stab wound. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update November 14th
Toronto police have identified the victim as David Blacquiere. 54, of Angus, Ontario. Police are currently searching for Demetrius McFarquhar, 24, in relation to the death of Blacquiere.

 

Update November 19th

Toronto Police has issued a warrant for the arrest of Christopher Enrique Gordon, 18. Gordon is wanted for second degree murder. He has been described as 6’4″, 150 lbs., with a slender build, and black hair in braids.

Update November 23
A 16 year old girl turned herself into investigators at 12 Division. She was arrested and charged with: Accessory After the Fact To Murder.

Christopher Enrique Gordon, 18, and Demetrius McFarquhar, 24, are still on the run.

Update November 28th
Demetrius McFarquhar, 24, surrendered to police. McFarquhar has been charged with: Accessory After the Fact To Murder, Attempting to Obstruct Justice and Fail to Comply Recognizance.

Johnathan Bailey of Hamilton found dead in Caistorville

The body of Johnathan Bailey, 45, of Hamilton was found in the area of South Chippawa and North Chippawa Roads in Caistorville on Wednesday November 8th at approximately 9:30am.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and are currently searching for a 2005 Black Ford Escape with a stick family decal located on the rear bumper near the license plate, consisting of a father, mother, and son. Police also said the SUV has a roof rack and aluminum rims.

Hamilton Homicide 8 – Natasha Thompson shot to death in the East End

Hamilton police were called to a townhouse complex at 17 Lang Street shortly before 5:00 pm on November 6th on report of shots fired.

Police arrived to find 36 year old Natasha Thompson, suffering from gunshot wounds. Thompson was rushed to hospital, however was pronounced dead before arriving.

Police were searching for Mark Joseph Champagne 41, after he was last seen heading towards the Parkdale & Melvin area on foot. Champagne was described as male, non-white, 41 years, 200lb, 6 feet tall, black hair short on the sides and longer on the top, usually wears removable gold grills on his front teeth.

Update: Hamilton police stated that Mark Champagne turned himself in to Toronto Police Service at approximately 4:30 am on November 7th. Champagne has since been charged with second degree murder in the domestic related homicide.

Update: 23 year old man shot to death in Windsor

Windsor police were called to the area of 1100 block of Heathfield Court on October 4th at approximately 1:30 am on report of shots fired.

Police arrived at the scene to find several witnesses screaming that someone had been shot. Police found the 23 year old man suffering from a gunshot would outside of a home.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. No other information has been released at this time.

Update November 6th
On November 5th, at approximately 11:30 pm Windsor police seized a white Pontiac Torrent from the 7300 block of Tranby Avenue that was believed to be involved in the incident. Two men were arrested in relation to the homicide on November 6th at approximately 8:00am. Police have not released any other details at this time.

Update November 7th
Neil Tap, 20, of Windsor has been charged with first degree murder, 4 counts of breaching a probation condition and 2 counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Idrisso Palmer, 19, of Windsor has been charged with first degree murder and breach recognizance .

Dazzmirhal Scott, a 24 year old female from Windsor has been charged with 2 counts of being an accessory after the fact to murder and possession of a prohibited weapon (unrelated to the murder).

Windsor police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Sumar AL-Rubayi on a first degree murder charge. AL-Rubayi is described as a middle eastern male, 5’10”, 200lbs with short dark hair and brown eyes.

Update: John MacDougall found dead near a Red Lake Park

Police were called to Norseman Heritage Park on Howey Street  on October 29th. Police arrived at the scene to find the victim deceased.

The victim has been identified as a 43 year old Red Lake man. Police will not be releasing the victim’s name or the cause of death at this time.

Update November 12th
Police have arrested Andrew Rae, 26, and Jason Kakekagumick, 31. Both men are facing second degree murder charges in the October 29th death of John MacDougall.

The July death of Barbara Kentner, now deemed a homicide

Brayden Bushby was charged with aggravated assault in February 2017 after thowing a trailer hitch at Barbara Kentner, 34, on January 29th.

Kentner required surgery after being hit in the torso by the trailer hitch. Barbara Kenter died in hospital a little over five months after the incident, on July 4.

Brayden Bushby 19, has now been charged with second degree murder. Bushby made his first court appearance on November 3rd.

Josephine Glenn found dead in London Ontario

A 26 year old woman was reported missing by family on October 23rd to the London police department. Josephine Glenn 26,  was last seen in the Clarke Road and Culver Drive area around 3am on October 22nd.

On October 27th London police received information about the missing womans possible whereabouts at a home on South Leaksdale Circle. Police located the remains of theGlenn at the scene, and made an arrest.

A 25 year old Oluwatobi Boyede has been charged with second degree murder and indignity to a human body

No other information will be released at this time as a publication ban has been placed.

Toronto homicide 53 – Henryk Dabrowski stabbed to death

Toronto police responded to an Unknown Trouble in the Wakunda Place and O’Connor Drive area on October 28th at approximately 8:50pm.

Police arrived to find Henryk Dabrowski, 60, of Toronto suffering from a serious injury in an apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was conducted on October 29th, revealed the cause of death to be a stab wound to the torso.

Police shoot a Man after he kills his 76 year old wife in Northumberland Hills Hospital ER

Cobourg Police Service received a call for reports of gun shots inside the Northumberland Hills Hospital at approximately 11:00pm on October 27th.

On arrival two police officers had an interaction with 70-year-old man inside the emergency room of the hospital, when both officers shot at the man. The 70 year old man was hit and died at the scene.

Police said a 70 year old man and his 76 year old wife were at the Northumberland Hills Hospital for undisclosed reasons, and while in a room together a gunshot was heard. Nursing staff said the woman suffered a head wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
