55 year old man dies from stab wound in a Logan Lake Motel

Logan Lake RCMP attended to a local motel, after receiving a complaint of a disturbance on March 6th at approximately 6:30am.

Police arrived to find an unresponsive 55 year old man in one of the rooms. Despite life saving attempts by paramedics, the man was pronounced deceased. Autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a stab wound.

Gordon Fleming, 66, was arrested at the motel and remains in custody.  It is believed the accused and deceased were known to each other.

Donald Kelly of Burnaby dies in fatal Coquitlam shooting

Coquitlam RCMP received several reports of shots fired in the area of Sylvan Place and Riverview Crescent and a vehicle speeding away on February 16th at approximately 10pm.

Police arrived to find 45-year-old Donald Kelly suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Kelly was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A short time after polce received report of shots fired, they recevied another report of a  burning dark colored sedan a short distance away from the shooting. Police said the burnt vehicle was a 2018 grey Chrysler 300 and would like to speak with anyone that has information about it.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Kaminder Rai dies in Vancouver West Side Shooting

Vancouver police received a report of shots fired in the area of Marguerite Street and West 49th Avenue on February 15th at approximately 1:00pm.

Police arrived to find 32-year-old Kaminder Rai of Surrey suffering from a gunshot wound. Rai was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries a short time later.

Constable Jason Doucette, VPD. said in a press release  “Crime does tend to fluctuate throughout the year, but it’s concerning any time we have a homicide in Vancouver — targeted or not. We’re continuing to work with our partners throughout the region to solve these crimes and prevent future violence.”

Martin James MacDonald dies in hospital after a Vancouver assault

Police and BC Ambulance were called to East Hastings Street near Hawks Avenue on February 6th at around 11:30 pm on report of an injured man in front of the Astoria Hotel.

Emergency crews arrived to find Martin James MacDonald of Coquitlam, unresponsive. MacDonald was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on February 11th.

Initially a 41 year old man was arrested. but has been released pending further investigation by the Vancouver police.

Surrey man, Tarek Ali Al-Romeshi, Identified as Langley homicide Victim

Langley police say they responded to a shooting that happened at approximately 9 pm, February 9th,  at a townhouse complex in the 8200-block of 204B Street.

Police found Tarek Ali Al-Romeshi, 23, of Surrey in a vehicle  suffering from gunshot wounds. Al-Romeshi was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and ask that anyone with information call police at 1-877-551- IHIT (4448)

Cody Isaacson dies in Chilliwack shooting

Chilliwack RCMP responded to reports of shots fired at a house in the 9200-block of Broadway Street, on January 31st at 6am. Police arrived to fond a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Cody Isaacson 28, pictured below, was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Kalwinder Thind dies after breaking up a fight in Vancouver

At approximately 2:30am on January 27th, a fight broke out at the Cabanna club at 1159 Granville Street . 23 year old Kalwinder Thind, an employee of the club, stepped in to beak up the fight when he was injured.

Thind was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. “The evidence suggests that several people have photos and recordings of the events before, during and after this incident. They have uploaded edited footage to various social media sites but have yet to come forward to police,” said Sergeant Robillard.

2 People found dead in a Surrey house fire – Integrated Homicide Investigation Team works with RCMP on the case

Surrey RCMP was called to the 17400 block of 28B Avenue for a report of a house fire on January 25th at approximately 2:45pm.

Two bodies were found in the home in what RCMP are calling suspicious. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

The IHIT has paired with the RCMP to investigate the deaths.

Lovepreet Singh Dhaliwal shot to death in Abbotsford

Abbotsford Police Department received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Ridgeview Drive and Promontory Court on January 19th at approximately 6:30pm.

Police arrived to find Lovepreet Singh Dhaliwal 24, suffering from  gunshot wounds. Dhaliwal was pronounced dead at the scene.

A black Acura TL (see attached stock photograph) was identified leaving the scene immediately after the shooting. Police said a vehicle matching the same description was found burnt out in Langley.

Sachdeep Singh Dhoot found dead in the trunk of a stolen vehicle in Vancouver

Vancouver police  were called to the area of Fairmont Street and Vanness Avenue January 18, at approximately 3pm.

on inspection of the vehicle Vancouver police found Sachdeep Singh Dhoot, 18, of Surrey deceased in the trunk. Police confirmed that Shoot was reported missing the week of January 7th to Surrey police.

Police said based on the investigation so far, the homicide does not appear to be random. Cause of death has not been determined at this time.
