Brian Ralph Beglau was charged in the death of his estranged wife Melanie Susan Hunter, 55. Police said the two were married, but living away from each other at the time of the murder.
Hunter’s body was found by police responding to a security alarm at her home northeast Sherwood Park on September 22.
Beglau was arrested at the scene.
On the morning of Sept 19th Police found the body of 29-year-old Matthew James Flitton deceased in his Lethbridge home.
Randall William Enright who was arrested that same day, has been charged with one count of second degree murder.
RCMP have made two arrests and are seeking a third man after finding Mohammed Saqib burned body in a vehicle in a rural area northeast of Calgary, September 18th.
Theo Wheyee 20, and Julius Wheyee 28 have been arrested and charged with second degree murder. The brothers has also been charged with arson and committing an indignity to a body. RCMP are still seeking Saad Mohamed Osman, 29.
RCMP is asking for the help of the public in their investigation into the death Victoria Joanne Crow Shoe, 43 of Lethbridge.
Crow Shoe’s body was found by local fisherman on the Oldman River reservoir north of Pincher Creek September 13th.

RCMP have laid murder charges against Derek Saretzky, the man accused of killing little Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette and her father, Terry Blanchette in Blair
Early Monday September 14th, Terry Blanchette, 27, was killed in his home and his daughter Hailey was abducted and taken away in a speeding white van.
RCMP confirmed that information they received led them to Hailey’s body in a rural area near Blairmore on Tuesday September 15th.
Haley’s mother Cheyenne Dunbar, said she was not aware that Blanchette and Saretsky were acquainted. She and Blanchette are no longer together, and shared custody of Hailey. Dunbar, said she used to be friends Saretsky, but she has not spoken to him for three years, and their relationship was never physical .

Derek Saretzky, has been convicted of three counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Terry Blanchette, his daughter Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette and 69-year-old Hanne Meketech. Saretzky is also serving 5 years for causing an indignity to the little girl’s body.
17-year old male is facing charges in connection with the stabbing death of an 18-year old man in northeast Edmonton September 12.
The two males involved are related to each other. The 18 year old was treated and transported to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The 17-year-old male suspect has since been charged with second degree murder. The youth cannot be named and the name of the victim has not been released.
RCMP said Hannah Meketech was found dead inside her home in Coleman Alberta on September 9. Meketech’s cause of death is not being disclosed, however an autopsy revealed the 69 year death was in fact a homicide.

Kallen Brianne Carothers, 23, died in hospital after being shot in a drive by, in her car in Calgary on September 9th.
Police believe this to be a targeted attack and are desperately trying to find the man who was in the car with Carothers who was injured in the shooting, but fled the scene.
He’s described as black, 5-ft., 10-in. to 6-ft. tall with a thin build and wearing white pants.

Christine Hagan was dying of pancreatic cancer and knew she had little time left to live, Hagan gave her 19 year old daughter Jessica who had down syndrome, a lethal dose of drugs on September 8th.
Jessica was found dead inside her Calgary home. Christine was found at the scene in medical distress, and was taken to hospital and kept in custody until her death on November 21.
Calgary police announced on December 31 that Jessica’s death was a homicide. No charges will be made since Christine Hagan died last month.
Brandon Campbell, 21, was murdered September 3rd in an accident police described as gun “play.”
Police were called to an Edmonton Apartment building by the unit’s two surviving occupants, who initially said three black men broke into their home and shot their friend.
Police prvoed the story wrong and chargeCampbell’s room-mate Dallas Edlund, 19, with manslaughter.
