Police were called to an apartment building on March 4th at around 10 am and found the body of Desiere Maye Herbert Johnston 14, inside. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
An autopsy on the victim is set to be conducted in Edmonton the week of March 6th.
Tyrell James Perron 21 has been charged with first degree murder, causing an indignity to human remains and possession of a prohibited firearm.
25 year old Boutrus Osman Khalfan was found unresponsive in front of his home at around 3am by police on March 1st in the Whitehorn area of Calgary. Police say he was a victim of a drive by shooting.
Calgary police have said they believe that this is a targeted attack, but have not named any suspects at this time.
Shane Dion McPhee 40, the man who dropped off William Blaine Baker, 47, and left him for dead at the Red Deer Hospital on February 12th has been found and charged.
An autopsy was performed on February 23, and determined Baker’s death was in fact a homicide.
McPhee has been charged with second degree murder.
The cause of death has not been released.
Police were called to the area of Chappelle Drive on reports of gunshots at 2:55 am, on February 21st. On arrival Police found 37 year old William John Patterson severely injured . Patterson was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.
Autopsy results show William John Patterson died from gunshot wounds.
No suspects have been named at this time.
Brooks RCMP and EMS responded to a call of an injured female at a residence in Brooks on February 19th. 19 year old Tanya Campbell-Losier was rushed to a Calgary hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on February 21st.
Jessie Dyck 26, boyfriend of Campbell-Losier, was originally charged with aggravated assault, but the Charge has since been upgraded to manslaughter.
Edmonton Police are asking witnesses to come forward with information regarding a deadly altercation involving a gun that killed 41 year old Darren Douglas Sinner on February 20th.
Police were called to Baccarat Casino at 104 Avenue and 101 Street, near the downtown arena. When police arrived Sinner was already being transported to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman who assisted Casino Security personnel in administering first aid to Sinner.

Update December 8th
Vaughn Emmanuel Bull 25, and Patrick Vincent Campiou 27, have been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Darren Sinner.
The death of Sinner was the 5th for Edmonton this year. The Edmonton homicide victims list is available here.
RCMP have not confirmed whether the body of Randy Lopushinsky 56, has been found but stated on February 13th that his disappearance is being treated as a homicide.
Lopushinsky was last seen on January 23 in Redwater. RCMP found a 2007 Ford Escape that belonged to Lopushinsky, in a rural area northwest of Westlock at the end of January.

Update: Jon Irwin Ward 41, has been charged with second degree murder in the death of Lopushinsky. Billy Joe Deren 36, faces charges of indignity to human remains.
Alex John Sinclair 53, of Edmonton was found dead inside his vehicle on January 24th near 119th Avenue and 80th Street.
Sinclair had Obvious signs of trauma, which after an autopsy was completed Tuesday January 26th, the Medical Examiner revealed Sinclair was stabbed to death.
Police are looking for a white male, age 25-30 who was wearing dark clothing.
RCMP was alerted by EMS who attended a home on January 22nd to assist in a call of medical distress and found Wilfred Junior Amos of Morley. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gavin Bearhead 30, has been charged with one count of manslaughter. He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on February 2nd in Cochrane.
The cause of death has not been released at this time.
Police responded to call of welfare after family members were unable to reach Irene Carter 78. Police arrived to Carter’s home in Lethbridge around 2 p.m. on January 17th and found Cater dead. Autopsy revealed Cater died of a stab wound.
