York Regional Police responded to a report of a deceased male found at a construction site located in the area of Jane Street and Mount Mellick Drive, on December 8th at approximately 4:40pm.

The victim has been identified as Richard Layton, 46, of no fixed address. Layton was known to frequent the area of Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street in Toronto. The Homicide unit has taken over the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have known Richard Layton, and who may have seen him before December 8th to contact the Homicide Unit at 1-866-876-5423 ext. 7865.
