UPDATE: Vincenzo Lofaro dead in downtown Hamilton shooting

Hamilton police were called to Club 77 on reports of shots fired at around 3:20 am on May 13. On arrival they found a man dead and a woman with a non life threatening wound.  Club 77 is located 280 meters away from the Downtown police station.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

King William is closed between John st north and Mary st as the investigation continues.

UPDATE

The man killed outside Club 77 was an employee at the bar. Police have identified the victim as Vincenzo Lofaro, 46.

UPDATE – September 1

Rebaz Resh, 25, Waed Alabd Alnabi, 25, and Ammar Nabulsi, 26 were arrested on August 31st and charged with first degree murder in the death of Lofaro.

UPDATE – September 2, 2016

At around 7am on September 2nd the 4th suspect was arrested by Hamilton police after a search warrant was issued for the man’s home on Thursday September 1st. His name has not been released at this time. The man is also facing first degree murder charges in the death of Lofaro.

Update September 12, 2018
Police have issued  a warrant for the arrest of Saim Miro , 24, formerly of Hamilton. Miro is wanted for first degree murder in relation to the death of Vincenzo Lofaro. Police said Miro left the country prior to his arrest and is believed to be in Kurdistan in northern Iraq.
