Montreal police officer charged with manslaughter in the death of Jean-Pierre Bony

On March 31, 2016, Jean-Pierre Bony 46 was allegedly shot in the head with a rubber bullet while trying to escape through a second story window during a drug raid at a building in North Montreal.

Bony was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

On May 24th 2017, Quebec’s Crown prosecutor’s office has decided to charge Officer Christian Gilbert of the Montreal Police with manslaughter.
