Montreal Homicide 22: Darius Brown death being treated as a homicide

Police originally thought Darius Brown died in a robbery gone wrong, but as the investigation progressed it has been revealed the a sharp object played part in the death. The altercation took place on November 17th near the corner of Westminster Ave. and Westover Rd. at around 7:45pm.

Police have not said if the 17 year old boy was stabbed of if he fell on the object, however the death of the teen is being treated as a homicide.

Police apprehended an important witness, on November 18th and are holding him for questioning.

If convicted the Crown is seeking an adult sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 10 to 25 years.
