Update: Tyrel Nguyen convicted of first degree murder  – Man shot to death in Surrey

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 11300 block of Alpen Place on October 27th at approximately 8:55pm.

Police arrived at the scene to find one man dead and another man suffering from a gunshot wound. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.

More information will be added as it becomes available.

Police have identified the deceased as Randeep “Randy” Kang, 27. Lang was known to police for previous drug and weapon offences.

Update November 2023
A B.C. Supreme Court judge has convicted Tyrel Nguyen of the Brothers Keepers gang of two counts of first-degree murder for targeted shootings of Randy Kang, and Jagvir Malhi. 

He was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Gary Kang, and associate Camilo Alonso on the night of Kang’s murder.
