Albert Iavarone dies in Hamilton shooting, police believe the death is linked to organized crime

Hamilton Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 32 Sunflower Crescent, Ancaster on September 13th at approximately 9:55pm.

Police and Paramedics arrived to find a 50-year-old male from Hamilton suffering from a gunshot injury. Despite life saving efforts the victim died at the scene.

The name of the deceased will not be released until family members have been notified.

Update Sept 15th.
Police have identified the victim as Real estate agent Albert Iavarone. Police said Iavarone has no criminal record but is known to associate with individuals involved in Hamilton’s traditional organized crime.

Police said the killer hid in bushes and lay in wait for Iavarone to return home Thursday night. The only description they gave was that the killer drove a silver car. Police believe the death of Iavarone is connected to the 207 death of Angelo Muistano .
