Châteauguay police were called to a home in St-Isidore-de-la-Prairie, on report of a woman in distress on July 29th.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene to find 24-year-old Kim Racine in cardiac arrest. Racine was rushed to hospital where she was declared deceased. The circumstances surrounding the death have not been released at this time.

Police arrested 36-year-old Eugène Morin, the victims boyfriend of two years has been charged with second-degree-murder.
