Morinville RCMP &  RCMP Major Crimes Section are investigating after a man was found dead in a rural Sturgeon County farmers field at around 3:15pm on October 30th.

Police have identified the victim as Krishneel Kamal Kumar, 26,  of Edmonton. An autopsy was completed on October 31st and revealed the death of Kumar to be a homicide.

The cause of death has not been released by police at this time.
