Jenna Gazzola found dead in her Hamilton Apartment

Police were called to 100 Forest Ave on April 18th after the building superintendent saw Jenna Gazzola’s dog wandering the hallway outside her unit. Police arrived to find Jenna Gazzola 34, dead in her unit.

Police said there were signs of forced entry and a struggle.

Jenna Gazzola was a teacher,  and daughter of Guelph police officer Marino Gazzola, lived only doors away from the accused.  Shane Shakeshaft, 27, has been charged with first degree murder.

Police said that there is no connection between the Shakeshaft and Gazzola other than the fact that they were both tenants in the same building.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Ross Johnson at
