Police were alerted of a shooting on Charland St. near De Lille St on August 25th at around 4am.

Two cars fled the scene, one colliding with an innocent bystanders vehicle.  Jean-Libord Jeanty 76, was rushed to hospital,  but died of his injuries that evening.

Chayanne O’Neill Peralta-Garcia  22 has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Jeanty.
