Paul Murray Grandbois father of four identified as first Edmonton homicide victim of 2015

The man has been identified as 36-year-old Paul Murray Grandbois. The cause of death is not being released at this time because the investigation is still taking place.

Police were called to assist EMS in the Blue Quill Estates neighbourhood around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday Jan 21, where the body was found laying beside the curb on 25 Avenue, between 119 Street and 120 Street in Edmonton.

Police said they did not have any suspects.

Grandbois’ criminal record includes a July 2008 conviction of failing to comply with conditions, an April 2009 conviction for failing to appear, and a May 2009 conviction for breaching conditions. In December 2009 he was sentenced to 32 months in jail for sexual assault and in April 2013 Grandbois was sentenced to 30 days in jail for assault.
