Police said 51 year old Clayton Benoit was rushed to Whitehorse General Hospital by Emergency Medical Services on August 30th at around 11:30am.

Police said Benoit died later that day as a result of his injuries.

An autopsy conducted on September 5th in Vancouver revealed the death of Benoit to be a homicide. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.
