Christina Voelzing shot Easter Sunday

Algonquin College student Christina Voelzing 24, was shot at her home in Bells Corners on March 27, at around 5am.  Voelzing was found unresponsive after neighbours heard gunshots.

She was rushed to hospital and sent into surgery for a gunshot wound to the neck, Voelzing remained on life support and was not expected to survive.

Voelzing succumbed to her injuries early morning on March 30th.

Police believe the shooting was targeted but are unsure if Voelzing was the target or one of the other people living at the address.

No arrests have been made at this time.

**UPDATE**

Behnam Yaali, 23, was arrested on April 15th, only hours after Ottawa police announced that he was wanted for the second-degree murder of Christina Voelzing.
