Edmonton Police investigating suspicious Fathers Day death

Edmonton police were called to the area of 125 Street and 132 Avenue at approximaty 12:30 am on June 18th after a passerby found two injured men in the plaza parking lot.

One male was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics, the other man is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Police have identified the victim as 18 year old Joshua Gilbert Barnes.  A photo of the suspect’s vehicle has been released.

Man dies after Edmonton alley stabbing

Edmonton police were flagged down by a man in the area of 118 Avenue and 50 Street at around 3:30 am on June 16th reporting that a man had been stabbed.

Police located the injured man in an alley, however the man died before EMS arrived.

The identity of the man has not been released at this time.

Update June 19th,

Police have identified the deceased as Brent Jonas Coates 33.

Clinton John Bluecloud death declared Edmonton’s 22nd Homicide

Edmonton police responded to a report of an Altercation at around 4 a.m. at a home in the area of 72 Street and 144 Avenue. Police arrived to find two injured men at the scene.

The men were rushed to hospital where Clinton John Bluecloud 29 died of his injuries. The other victim had non life threatening injuries and is expected to survive,

48 year old Michael Barber has been charged with second degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

3 found dead at Adam & Eve naturalist campsite

Surete du Quebec were called to the gruesome scene of the suspected double murder suicide involving a rifle on Monday June 12th at the naturalist campground in Sainte-Brigitte-des-Brandon.

The victims have been identified as Suzanne Gareau, 50, Rodrigue Tremblay, 77, and Denys Carpentier, 76. Police believe that Carpentier shot both his ex wife Gareau and her new lover Tremblay before turning the gun on himself.

 

No charges laid in Penticton Homicide

Police responded to a call for assistance at a Woodlands Drive home at approximate 5am on June 12th. Police found Dale Atkinson, 63 dead at the scene.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth said that Atkinson victim of a homicide. The name of the victim has not been released at this time. Police said the homicide was an isolated indecent, stemming from a domestic disturbance.

The suspect who had been in a relationship with c has been released from custody. No charges have been laid at this time.

 

 

Dale Custer. found dead in Pelican Narrows

RCMP were called to a home on June 10th at 9:15 pm n report of an injured man. Police arrived to find Dale Custer 32, in serious condition.

Custer was rushed to a local health clinic where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released the cause of death.

Curtis Michel 20, was arrested on June 12th and has been charged with second degree murder of Dale Custer.

The Last Pelican Narrows Homicide happened 109 days previous. The victim in that homicide was Mark Clarence Michel.

Edmonton police release the identity of the city’s 21 homicide. Abdullahi Nur-Abdulle dies after being shot at a convenience store

Edmonton police were called to a convenience store around 4:40 p.m. in the area of 118 Street and 145 Avenue on June 11th on report of a shooting.

Police arrived to find the victim who has been identified as 22 year old Abdullahi Nur-Abdulle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Nur-Abdulle was rushed to hospital where he died overnight.

Police are asking for help from the public in identifying  the drivers of  the vehicles pictured below. Both newer model, dark grey Dodge Durango and the other, a black Hyundi Tucson were driven by the suspects.

Edmonton Police have release photos of the four suspects.

Langley murder victim identified as known criminal Tyler Pastuck

Langley RCMP responded to report of shots fired at Brown’s Socialhouse at 200th St on June 9th just before midnight. Police arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

The 33 year old victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but was expected survive. 31 year old Tyler Pastuck was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pastuck had served 7 years less 27 months of a manslaughter charge for his involvement in the 2010 beating death of Christopher Smythe.

Police believe the shooting death of Tyler Pastuck was targeted, no arrests have been made at this time.

Illutak Anautak stabs 3 family members to death in Northern Quebec

Three people were murdered and two others injured in a stabbing spree on June 10th in the remote village of Akulivik.

Police said the suspect, Illutak Anautak 19, stabbed his uncle Lucassie Anautak, 36, 12-year-old cousin Patulik Anautak, and Eli Qinuajuak, 32, who is married to one of Illutak’s aunts. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were injured at another home but are expected to survive. It is alleged that Anautak broke into 3 homes and was intercepted by police while trying to break into the fourth.

Anautak was shot by police while trying to enter the fourth home, and then fatally shot when he started to approach police.
