Abdiqani Hussen dies after being shot near Evansdale Community Hall in Edmonton

Edmonton police responded to a weapon’s complaint near 145 Avenue and 91 Street on April 8th at approximately 3:35am. It was reported that gunshots were heard near the Evansdale Community Hall, following an early-morning social function .

Police arrived to learn that the victim was rushed to a medical centre by family members, where he later died of his injuries injuries.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed that Abdiqani Hussen, 23, of Edmonton, died of a gunshot wound.

Sampson Thunder Goodwill-Severight found dead in Regina

Regina police and EMS were dispatched to a house in the 1100 block of King Street just after 7:00 pm. on,  April 5. On arrival Police located an unresponsive man. EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

An autopsy revealed that  Sampson Thunder Goodwill-Severight, 21, death was suspicious. Police have arrested Justin Christopher Ford, 22, and Ragan Marlee Lavallee, 18. Both have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Goodwill-Severight’s death.

Fesal Ahmed Mohammad Sobir identified as Toronto’s 16th homicide victim of 2018

Toronto police responded to a call for a stabbing in the O’Connor Drive and Donlands Avenue area on April 10th at approximately 3:00am.

Police arrived to find Fesal Ahmed Mohammad Sobir, 26, of Toronto, suffering from a stab wound. It is alleged that the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation inside a store. The altercation escalated and Fesal Ahmed Mohammad Sobir, was stabbed. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Ahilan Chandrasekaramoorthy, 30, of Toronto, surrendered to police on April 10th at 11:57am and has been charged with First degree murder.

Colin Sutherland found dead in Saskatoon home. 30 year old woman charged

Patrol members responded to an injured male in an apartment in the 200 block 5th Avenue North at approximately 11:30 pm April 1st.

Police arrived to find Colin Sutherland, 54, of Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation deceased. Sheritta Kahpeaysewat, 30, has been charged with second degree murder.

Police said the victim and the accused were known to each-other.

RCMP calling the death of Raena Henry suspicious

Squamish RCMP received a report of a woman found dead in a residence in the 37900 block of Third Avenue on March 27th.

Police arrived to find 28-year-old Raena Henry, a Squamish resident and member of the Pauquachin First Nation, deceased. There is no evidence linking Henry’s death to gangs, drugs or organized crime.

Brampton Homicide Victim Identified as Valentino Pauletto

Brampton Police responded to a call for a medical assistance on April 8th at approximately 2:15pm,  at a home in the area of Middleton Way and MacKay Street North.

Police arrived to find 46 year old Valentino Paulette suffering from obvious signs of trauma.  Police said Paulette died of his injuries on April 8th.

Police arrested  John Albert Lopez, 36, of no fixed address. Lopez is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Lopez appeared at the Ontario court of Justice in Brampton on Monday April 9, 2018 for a bail hearing

One man dead and one injured in Montreal’s 7th homicide of 2018

Montreal police were called to the area of Bercy and Ontario streets on report of a shooting,  just after 6 pm on April 6th.

Police arrived to find 2 men, ages 31 and 42, laying on the ground, suffering from injuries.  Andrée-Anne Picard of the  Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. said that multiple shells casings were found around the victims.

Both men were rushed to hospital where one man died of his injuries and the other was listed in stable condition.

Police have not released any other details at this time.

Emery John Large dies in hospital after an assault at a St. Paul motel

St. Paul RCMP responded to report of an aggravated assault,  at a motel on March 29 at approximately 10:44 p.m.

On arrival police found 39-year-old Emery John Large badly beaten. Large was taken to a Edmonton hospital for treatment  where he died of his injuries on April 4th. An autopsy was performed and determined that the death of Emery Large was a homicide.

William Adaire Cardinal has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
