Jeff Joubens Theus, and Ebamba Ndutu Lufiau sentenced in mistaken Mafia hit of Angelo D’Onofrio who died after being shot at a Montreal Cafe

Angelo D’Onofrio who is known to police, was gunned down at around 4:00pm on June 2nd at the Sinatra Cafe formerly known as the Hillside Cafe, which is located at 2581 Fleury St, in Montreal.

D’onofrio was used to Hospital where he died on his injuries.

Police would not confirm nor deny that D’Onofrio’s death was a case of mistaken identity.

Update November 2nd 2023
According to reports Jeff Joubens Theus, and Ebamba Ndutu Lufiau, planned to murder Antonio Vanelli, who was described in court documents as a member of a criminal organization. According to lapresse.ca, Antonio Vanelli signed a written statement explaining that his vehicle was parked near the cafe on the day of the murder.

On November 1st Theus was found guilty of first-degree murder. Theus was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years. Lufiau the driver, was sentenced to life with no parole eligibility for 13 years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
