Vanderhoof RCMP were called to a local hotel on report of a disturbance on May 16th at approximately 8:00pm.

On arrival police located a 59-year-old man from Vanderhoof deceased. Police initially said the death appeared suspicious.

After a lengthy investigation, police arrested Allie Leslie, 24, in Spirit River on August 2nd. Leslie has been charged with second degree murder.
