Strathcona County police reported that the body of a man was found  in an industrial area, on September 13, 2018 at approximately 5:00 a.m.

The deceased has been identified as Aldane Mesquita, 33,  of Edmonton. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

Update March 2019
Omar Abdirizak Omar, 33, Clement Fofie, 34, and 31-year-old Roger Rurangwa, of Edmonton, were charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. Tyson Richard Clark, 30, is facing charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault. Jean Leon Musoni, 30, of Edmonton is facing charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault. Police are still looking for Christian Nyabirungu, 35, who is wanted for first-degree murder.

Update February 8th 2021
Christian Nyabirungu, 35 of Edmonton, is wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for first-degree murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault in relation to the homicide of Aldane Mesquita. He is described as black, 6’2″, 240lbs, black hair, and brown eyes. Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, Alberta, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Toronto, Ontario, and has family in Montreal, Quebec.
