John Bradley Healey found dead in Fort McMurray

RCMP said the body of John Bradley Healey, 36,  was found early Wednesday June 13th on an access road between Grayling Crescent and Abasand Drive.

An autopsy was performed on June 15th and revealed the death of Healey was a homicide. Cpl. Teri-Ann Deobald said investigators will not be releasing the cause of death at this time.

15 year old boy dies in Saskatoon’s latest homicide

Saskatoon police responded to an injured male in a residence in the 500 block of Avenue J South on June 3rd at approximately 1:00 am.

Police arrived to find a 15 year old boy suffering from serious injuries. His name will not be released at the request of the family.  The cause of death will not be released by the Saskatoon police. Investigators said they believe the homicide was targeted.

Toronto Homicide #41 – Joseph Perron beaten to death in Parkdale

Toronto police and paramedics were called to the area of West Lodge Avenue and Lansdowne Avenue on June 13th at 8:31pm on report of an assault.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to hospital where he died of his injuries. Paramedics informed police that the male victim had died. According to witnesses police arrived at the crime scene around 2 hours after the asault took place.

The victim has been identified as Joseph Perron, 51. Police are trying to locate the suspect who can be seen HERE.

Jason Dirks identified as Calgary’s latest homicide victim

Calgary police responded to reports of a disturbance at a residence in the 0-100 block of Margate Place N.E.on June 9th at approximately 1:30 am.

Upon arrival police found Jason Dirks, 46, of Calgary, suffering from  life threatening injuries. Dirks was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police believe the death of Dirks was targeted. The cause of death will not be released at this time.

36-year-old man found dead in Edmonton – Nathan Joshua Piche arrested

Edmonton police were called to a suite in the area of 115 Avenue and 124 Street on June 10th at approximately 11:00 pm, on report of a disturbance.

Police arrived at the scene to find a 36 year old man suffering from serious injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased by paramedics.

The Homicide team has taken over the investigation.

Update: Nathan Joshua Piche, 26, of Edmonton, was arrested by police and charged with second degree murder.

Toronto homicide #40 – Victoria Selby-Readman found dead in a fifth-floor apartment unit

Toronto police responded to a suspicious death in a fifth-floor apartment unit located at  798 Richmond Street West on June 12th.

An autopsy was completed on June 13th and the Pathologist  ruled the death of Victoria Selby-Readman, 28, a homicide. The cause of death has not been released, and the victim’s identity has not been confirmed.

Quebec Police investigating the death of a 28 year old Chloe Labrie, in Kuujjuaq

Kativik Regional Police Force were called to a home in the community on June 12th early in the morning, on report of a deceased female.

Police arrived to find a 28 year old Chloe Labrie, deceased in the home. Police said there were “marks of violence” on the woman’s body. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

Witnesses are currently being interviewed. No arrests have been made at this time.

 Zacharia Nicholii Cross, identified as Chilliwack’s latest homicide victim

Chilliwack RCMP were called to the 45000-block of Wellington Avenue on June 7th at approximately 5:00 am on report of a man in medical distress.

Police arrived to find paramedics treating the victim, Zacharia Nicholii Cross, 25.  Cross succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  Police said Cross was associated with drug activity, and believe his death was targeted.

Toronto Homicide #39 – Cyclist Aaron Rankine-Wright, struck by a vehicle, two males charged, one male outstanding

Toronto police responded to a call for a personal injury collision in the Frankish Avenue and Sheridan Avenue area on June 9th at 5:30 pm.

Police arrived at the scene to find Aaron Rankine-Wright, 19, suffering from serious injuries. Rankine-Wright was rushed to hospital where he died of a stab wound.

It is alleged that Aaron Rankine-Wright was struck by a vehicle, three men exited the vehicle, and assaulted the victim who was on the ground. The three suspects fled the scene on foot, as the vehicle mounted and became lodged on the curb.

Police arrested a 17 year old boy on Sunday June 10th, and charged him with first degree murder. The other two suspects are still outstanding.

Update
On Friday, June 15, Toronto police arrested a 13 year old boy in relation to the homicide of Rankie-Wright. The Youth has been charged with First-Degree Murder.
