80 year old man murdered in Belair Manitoba

Powerview RCMP were dispatched to check on the owner of a residence in Belair, on May 6th at approximately 10:00am.

Police said an 80 year old homeowner was found deceased. The vcause of death has not been revealed, however police are calling the death a homicide.

RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Section are assisting with the. ongoing investigation

Amanjot Singh Hans shot to death in Langley

Langley RCMP received several calls about a shooting in the parking lot of a gas station at 232 Street and 72 Avenue on May 15th at approximately 9:00pm.

Police arrived to find Amanjot Singh Hans, 31, of Surrey suffering from a gunshot would. Hams was transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Langley RCMP was notified shortly after the shooting  of a burning dark-coloured Dodge pickup truck in the 8300-block of 196 Street.

Gregory Joseph Scuby found dead in Richmond BC

Richmond RCMP received a report of a body in the 16600-block of Dyke Road , from a passerby, on May 17th at 11:15am.

IHIT has confirmed that the victim is Gregory Joseph Scuby 42 of Richmond.

Police have not released the cause of death, only saying that the death of Scuby is suspicious. Scuby was well known to police and investigators are working to determine motive.

Kevin Prempeh shot to death at a Vaughan Airbnb

York Regional Police responded to reports of a shooting on Timber Creek Road in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Highway 27 at an Airbnb on May 12th at approximately 3:35am.

Police arrived to find Kevin Prempeh, 26, of Toronto, deceased at the scene. Police said a second victim, a 21 year old man from Brampton wasfound later in hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

One suspect who was found fleeing the scene has been arrested. Police said his involvement is still under investigation.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, arrested in relation to the death of his father Richard Grenier in Montreal

Montreal Police said the body of Richard Grenier, 59, was found by a passerby in a ditch on Marie-Curie Ave near Albert-Einstein Street at 5:45 am,  May 11th.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier, 23, was arrested on May 11th and taken to hospital for “self inflicted wounds”. The Sûreté du Québec said Fortier-Grenier is the victim’s son. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Jérémie Fortier-Grenier will remain in custody until he appears in court.

Woman charged in the death of an Oxford House man

Oxford House RCMP received a report of a male who was transported to the nursing station on May 8th at approximately 7:20 am.

RCMP said the 30-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries that were sustained from an assault with a weapon.

Margaret Chubb, 30, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder. Police said the victim and the accused were known to each-other.

 

Fiancé charged – Laura Wigelsworth found dead along a road in the community of Vanastra

Huron County police said the body of 27-year-old Laura Wigelsworth was founf on a road in Vanastra on May 10th. Police say Wigelsworth was last seen walking on the previous evening

On May 12th police arrested a man from Vanastra. Police have ot released any charges at this time. “Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation further details cannot be released at this time,” the OPP statement read.

Update May 14th
Corey Volland has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his fiancé Laura Wigelsworth.

No suspects in Kleinburg shooting death

York regional police say officers responded to reports of a shooting just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday May 11th in Kleinburg where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said the victim was declared at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released, and no suspects named.

Toronto Homicide #29 – Christopher Reid shot while driving

Toronto police responded to a report of a collision in the are of Kipling Ave. and Longfield Rd on May 7th at 11:55am.

Police arrived to fins  Christopher Reid, 38, suffering from gunshot wounds. Reid was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on May 10th.

Homicide investigators are interested in identifying this vehicle in question, as well as anyone in possession or associated to this vehicle. Investigators believe the vehicle is a white, four-door, 2008 or newer model BMW X.
