Four People found dead in a suspicious vehicle fire in Timmins

Timmins Police are  investigating a suspicious vehicle fire which occurred on Price Road on April 20th.

Police said the bodies of four people were found at the scene, but the identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed conclusively.  Police said the fire is suspicious in nature and foul play has not been ruled out.

“Because it is an ongoing investigation and I don’t have all the pieces of the puzzle per se, I’m not in a position to release anything about what our investigative theories might be at this point,”  said Timmins Police Staff Sergeant. Danny Charest.

The investigation is still in the early stages and police ask that anyone with information call the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.

Update Victim Identified – Vancouver Police Homicide Unit investigating the city’s 8th homicide of 2018

Vancouver police said a 37 year old Vancouver man was found with serious injuries outside the Parq Casino on April 26th at approximately 1:30am.

The injured man was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency surgery, however he did not survive. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

Police believe the victim was assaulted at  Coopers Park, near Marinaside Cresent and Cooperage Way, and walked over to the Casino for help.  Anyone with information about this homicide to call VPD at (604) 717-2500.

Update April 29th
Vancouver police have identified the victim as Christopher Thomas Schiller, 37. No arrests have been made, police are still investigating the events leading up to the death of Mr. Schiller.

Roy Joseph Gowdy dies of a stab wound in London Ontario

London police and EMS responded to a residence on Grey Street in response to a 9-1-1 call reporting a stabbing on April 24th at approximately 9:55pm.

Police arrived to find Roy Joseph Gowdy, 44, of London, suffering from a stab wound. Gowdy was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Investgation lead police to Tony Lynn Huff-Williams, 35, of London. Huff-Williams has been charged with first degree murder. According to police he is also facing a charged of aggravated assault in relation to a stabbing that happened on Simcoe Street on April 24, 2018, at approximately 6:30pm.

Early morning assault claims the life of Dam Minh Huu in Vancouver

Vancouver police and ambulance responded to Kingsway and Nanaimo Street for an injured man on April 22nd at approximately 1:30am.

Police located 55-year-old Dam Minh Huu in serious condition. Huu was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police have arrested a 48-year-old Vancouver man for the murder of Huu. Police said the victim and the suspect were known to each other, and that evidence suggests the pair got into an argument that escalated and resulted in the death of Dam Minh Huu.

Raymond Gerald Harper, charged with Manslaughter in the death of a Red Sucker Lake man

Island Lake RCMP received a report of a deceased male on the side of the road in Red Sucker Lake, on April 23rd at approximately 10:00am.

Police said the deceased was a 37 year old male, who had obvious signs of trauma. The cause of death has not been released by RCMP.

Raymond Gerald Harper, 34, was arrested on April 24th, and charged with Manslaughter in regards to the homicide.

Update Suspect Arrested – Warrant issues for the arrest of Kenneth Richards in relation to the death of Brittany Vande Lagemaat

Edmonton police  responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 78 Street and 143 Avenue on April 23rd at approximately 1:50 pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Brittany Vande Lagemaat, 25, with serious injuries. Vande Legemaat was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. An Autopsy was conducted, however the cause of death has not been released.

According to Edmonton police” it was reported that a male suspect, identified as Kenneth Richards, 35, allegedly broke into a residence in the area and, a short time later, a gunshot was reportedly heard.”

A province-wide warrants have been issued for the arrest of Kenneth Richards. He is wanted for second-degree murder, housebreaking with intent, possess a prohibited loaded/restricted firearm, possess a prohibited firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and breach of recognizance. Police said the victim and the suspect were known to eachother.

Richards is described as 5’11” tall, weighs 160 lbs and has blue eyes and short brown hair with a receding hair line. He has the word “Brittany” tattooed on his left forearm. Richards is to be considered armed and dangerous, do not approach him and contact the EPS immediately at 780-423-4567.

Update May 7th
Kenneth Richards was arrested without incident on Thursday, May 3rd,  in the area of 24 Avenue and 107 Street. Richards has been charged with second-degree murder, housebreaking with intent, possess a prohibited loaded/restricted firearm, possess a prohibited firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and breach of recognizance.

Ronald Henry Tooma arrested in relation to the death of a 25 year old woman and her 2 year old daughter

The Sûreté du Québec is investigating what they believe to be a double homicide that left a 25 year old woman and her 2 year old daughter dead in Sept-Îles.

Police said an altercation allegedly erupted in a residential building on Brochu St on April 23rd. When police arrived to the scene at approximately 6:30am,  they located the victims in serious condition. The mother and daughter were rushed to hospital where they died of their injuries.

Ronald Henry Tooma was arrested April 23. No other information is available at this time.

Update 4 people charged – Police search for Randal Hastings of Oxford House First Nation

Thompson RCMP were called to the Burntwood Hotel on report of an injured male on April 21st at approximately 1:00am.

Police arrived to find a 35 year old man with serious injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police have not released the cause of death of the identity of the victim at this time.

RCMP said Randal Hastings of Oxford House First Nation is wanted on second-degree murder charges.

Update April 29th
Thompson RCMP have arrested Carla Wass, Warren Bradburn, Gregory Hart and Randal Hastings in connection to the death of a 35 year old man. All four are facing charges of second degree murder.

Police Confirm The Death of Joey Morin Gatineau’s Second Homicide of the Year

Gatineau Police responded to a wellness check on April 21 at approximately 10am on rue Fernand Arvisais near boulevard Maloney.

Police arrived to find the body of 23 year old Joey Morin in the basement of his home on rue. Morin was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy was performed April 23rd at the Laboratory of Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine in Montreal and revealed the cause of death to be a homicide.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and ask that anyone with information contact police at 819 243-4636.

The death of Joey Morin was the second Gatineau homicide of 2018. The first homicide of the year was Claire Hebert.
