Death of an 18 year old woman & Jeff Kilfoy a murder suicide

RCMP were investigating after two people were found dead over the weekend.

An 18 year old woman was found dead in a basement apartment inside a home on McGettigan Boulevard in Marystown September 16th.

The following day her partner 37 year old Jeff Kilfoy was found dead in a wooded area in the Mooring Cove area of Marystown.

RCMP have said that Kilfoy murdered the woman and then himself. No other information has been released at this time.

Joseph Lucien De Carvalho dead in Richmond’s latest homicide

Richmond RCMP was called to the 7500 block of Bridge Street on report of a possible shooting on September 18th at approximately 3:00am.

Police located an adult male suffering from life threatening injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

The IHIT has identified the victim as 41 year old Joseph Lucien De Carvalho

Ernie Duggan charged with first degree murder in the death of a 58 year old woman in Bayhead

Colchester District RCMP were called to a home on Clarks Road in Bayhead on September 17th shortly before midnight on report of a deceased female.

A male suspect was located by RCMP shortly after the discovery of the deceased female. The man fled the scene in a vehicle. Police followed the man to the area of Lockerbie Memorial Cemetery on Highway 6, Tatamagouche where gunfire was exchanged and the suspect was wounded.

Ernie “Junior” Ross Duggan was sent to hospital for treatment where he remains in custody. Duggan has been charged with first degree murder of the 58 year old woman and attempted murder for firing at police.

UPDATE: Halifax police investigating a sudden death in Clayton Park

Halifax police were called to 36 Montgomery Crescent in Clayton Park on September 17th at 1:38am on report of an injured man.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a 20 year old man in serious condition. The man was rushed to hospital where he died a short time later.

A 27 year old man and a 24 year old woman were taken in for questioning but have since been released.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Update September 29th
The Halifax Medical Examiner has confirmed that Sardar Ajmeer Nawabi death was a homicide. The cause of death has not been released, and no charges have been laid at this time.

52 year old man charged in the death of a Lethbridge woman

Lethbridge police on patrol observed and intervened in an assault in progress along the 400 block of 6 Avenue South on September 16th at approximately 3:30pm.

Paramedics were called to assist the injured 48 year old woman. The victim was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries.

A 52 year old man was arrested at the scene and charged with second degree murder.

Police are not releasing the names of the victim or the accused at this time.

Update: Montreal police search for an important witness in the city’s 17th homicide of the year

Montreal police have said in a press release that a 26 year old  was stabbed to death in an apartment on rue Mullins in the borough of Le Sud-Ouest on September 18th at approximately 2am.

Police said the trans gender woman died of a stab wound but the motive is still unknown.

Investigators are reaching out to the public in hopes of identifying an important witness.

Update September 20th
Police have identified the man in the surveillance footage as Jean Edens Lindor 24.  Anyone with information on Lindor’s whereabouts is asked to call Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133.

Update September 26th
Jean Edens Lindor was arrested in Scarborough on September 25th and charged with second degree murder of Gerry Sisi Thibert, 26 on Sept. 18.

Toronto real estate broker Simon Giannini fatally shot on upscale Toronto restaurant Michael’s

Toronto police were called to Michael’s on Simcoe at approximately 8:53 pm September 16th on report of a shooting.

Police reported that Simon Giannini, 54 of Toronto was approached by a man in the restaurant and shot. Giannini was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene in a light coloured SUV, last seen westbound on Pearl Street.

Toronto shooting takes the life of a 54 year old man In the city’s s 40th homicide

Toronto police responded to report of a shooting in the area of Gerrard and River St at approximately 1:20am on September 16th.

Police arrived at the scene to find a 54 year old man dead and another man injured. The injured man was rushed to hospital where he is expected to survive.

No other information has been made available at this time. More to come.

Police have identified the victim as Everone Paul Mitchell, 54, of Toronto.

John Buchanan charged with murder in Nanaimo fatal assault

Police and Paramedics were called to a building at 275 Nicol Street on September 11th on report of an injured man. Richard Sitar 42, had been seriously assaulted and later died of his injuries.

Police said John Buchanan 46, was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

No other information will be released to the public as this matter is now before the courts.

Josiah Kaelin Sparks found dead in Lake Loon home

RCMP said 22 year old Josiah Kaelin Sparks was found dead in a home on Cherry Brook Rd in Lake Loon on September 15th at approximately 8pm.

Police have not released any information surrounding the death, only saying that it has been ruled a homicide.
