Kurri Turtle arrested in connection to the death of Bronson Lee Strang in Pikangikum First Nation

Police were called to a school area on Airport Road on august 19th at around 9:30pm on report of an injured male.

Police arrived to find 34 year old Bronson Lee Strang unresponsive at the scene. Lee Strang was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

OPP arrested Kurri Turtle,32, also of Pikangikum First Nation on August 25th. As of now Turtle has been charged with assault. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Altercation turns deadly in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of a man that happened as a result of an altercation on August 27th at approximately 4:45 p.m.

The victim was rushed to hospital after being located with serious injuries on Mooregate crescent. The victim died in hospital of his injuries. Police have not released the cause of death.

The name of the victim will not be released until his next of kin has been notified.

One man has been arrested however no charges have been made public at this time.

Franc Gabriel Paisley dies in Mississauga shooting

Peel Regional Police responded to report of a shooting on August 26th at approximately  8am in the area of The Collegeway and Colonial Drive. 

Police arrived at the scene to find 29 year old Franc Paisley dead in his home.

A white SUV was spotted fleeing the area at the time of the shooting.

Mississauga police are asking anyone who may have video surveillance, dashboard video, or may have been in the area and have information regarding the incident to call them at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205

Update December 8th
Toronto residents Ali Isse, 24, has been arrested and charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of Franc Paisley.  Monir Kasim, 24, is facing a charge of accessory after the fact to murder.

Second suspicious death in Wetaskiwin in less than a week

Wetaskiwin were called to an apartment building at the request of EMS on August 26th after a man was found suffering from life threatening injuries.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police have not released the cause of death at this time. Police have said that this death is not related to the death of Nakoda Toyoungmen on August 24th.

Second degree murder charge laid in the death of 16 year old Nakoda Twoyoungmen

Wetaskiwin police were called to a plaza in the area of 52 Street and 48 Avenue on August 24th on report of an injured young man.

Nakoda Towyoungmen 16, of Samson Cree Nation, was found by police at a plaza in the area of 52 Street and 48 Avenue suffering from serious injuries. Towyoungmen was rushed to hospital when he died of his injuries.

22 year old Matthew Alexander Lightning was arrested on August 25th and charged with second degree murder.

Update Victim Identified – Edmonton Taxi Cab driver dies after being shot in his vehicle

Edmonton police responded to a report of a shooting placed by a taxi cab driver at 5am on August 26th  at 142 Street and Yellowhead Trail.

Police attempted CPR however the victim believed to be in his 20’s was declared dead at the scene.

Sgt. Duane Hunter of Homicide Section is urging anyone who was at Flux Ultra Lounge and my have information in relation to this investigation to call EPS at 780-423-4567.

Update August 31st
An autopsy conducted on August 30th revealed the identity of the victim as
Shardi Abdi Hassan, 23. The Edmonton Medical Examiner said Hassan died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Richard Curtis Milligan found dead on a Metchosin property

West Shore RCMP were “led to a scene” on August 23rd at approximately 12:00pm where they discovered the body of Richard Curtis Milligan 56, in the area of area of Malloch Rd in Metchosin.

Cst. Alex Bérubé said in a press release that “As the investigation is progressing, we are now treating this death as a homicide“.

The cause of death has not been released.

Neal Kumar Jaswal found dead in his vehicle in Prince George

Prince George RCMP were called to Noranda Road on Sunday August 20th at approximately 8:00am on report of a suspicious death.

Police arrived to find Neal Kumar Jaswal 40, dead in his Ford Mustang. The cause of death has not been released, but RCMP are treating the death as a homicide.

Body found in Mission identified as missing woman Chelsey Gauthier

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating the death on Chelsey Gauthier 22, after her body was found on August 16th. Police said the body was located in an isolated area near  Sylvester Road and Dale Road in Mission.

Chelsey Gauthier, a mother of two was reported missing on July 30th after last being seen on July 27th.

Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT said the death is consistent with a homicide, however the cause of death has not been released.

Remains of Euarchol Wanichpan located at SJ Willis School in Victoria

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit have confirmed that the body found at  SJ Willis School in Victoria on August 22 is that of Euarchol Wanichpan 25.

Euarchol Wanichpan. had been missing since July 31st. Police say that foul play is suspected in the death, but have not released the cause of death at this time.
