Taxi driver Vijay Bhatia found dead in a parking lot in London

London Police responded to a report of an assault in the parking lot of Mac’s Milk at 925 Wonderland Road South on April 29th at approximately 1:00am.

Police found the victim who was later identified as Vijay Bhatia 64, at the scene without vitals. Bhatia was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the victim had picked up a fare of two people and drove them to 925 Wonderland Road South where he was assaulted by one of the passengers.

Cody Perkin, 23, of London has been charged with second degree murder.

Norman Stroh stabbed to death by his son Kristian Stroh

Strathcona RCMP responded to a complaint in the area of Range Road 212 and Township Road 542 on April 28th at around 12:15pm.

Police arrived to find 71 year old Norman Stroh suffering from stab wounds, and 35 year old Kristian Stroh at the home. Norman Stroh was pronounced dead at the scene and Kristian Stroh was immediately taken into custody.

Kristian Stroh is facing a first degree murder charge in the death of his father.

Update: Calgary police investigate suspicious death of an injured man who was dropped off at the hospital

Calgary police said that the victim was dropped off at a local hospital at 11:59 p.m., on Sunday, April 30 with life threatening injuries. The 40 year old victim died a short time after.

Police have located and have spoken to the person who dropped the victim off at hospital. Police believe the original crime scene to be in the community of Tuxedo.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for May 2nd.

Update May 2
The victim has been identifies as Timothy Albert Voytilla 44. Police do not believe the homicide to be random.

Windsor’s Third Homicide Of 2017 identified: Injured man found on sidewalk

Police were called to the 2900 block of Tecumseh Rd East on April 29th at approximately 3:20am on report of an injured man on the sidewalk.

Officers found the man who was then transported to hospital by paramedics, and died of his injuries later that day.

Police have not released the name of the victim or cause of death at this time.

Update May 25
Investigators have identified the victim as Steven Hill, who is also know as Steven Kiyoshk 43 of Windsor. Police said the case of death was blunt force trauma, and said they believe Hill was struck by a vehicle.

The first homicide of 2017 was Dallas Nelson, and the second was an unnamed man.

An investigation is underway after a man dies while in police custody

On April 28th Kativik Regional Police Force arrested a 24 year old man in Puvirnituq. The man was taken to the police station in community of Puvirnituq and placed into a cell.

Police noticed the man wasn’t breathing at approximately 5:30 pm. The man was taken to a medical station where he was pronounced dead.

The Quebec’s bureau of independent investigations (BEI) has taken over the investigation.


Update: Homicide investigation is underway after man found injured at a Hamilton Gas station dies

On April 28th at around 2:30am a man drove a vehicle into a Pioneer Gas Station at 333 Upper Centennial Parkway in Hamilton. The man was covered in blood.

The victim was able to get help from a passerby who called 911. Emergency crews took the victim to hospital where he died of his injuries on April 30th.

The police are not releasing any other details at this time to protect the integrity of the case.

Update: The victim has been identifies as Hayder Qasim-Rushdi 33, of Mississauga. Qasim-Rushdi was not known to police.


Police have issued warrants for the arrest of three 17 year old girls, who can’t be named as they are minors.  It is believed that the girls were working as escorts. The knife used in the murder has been located, and the victim’s vehicle is under forensic analysis.

Two females have now been arrested after turning themselves into police.

Update December 20th
The 17 year old girl from Hamilton pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The 18 and 18 year old girls from Toronto pleaded guilty to robbery. Initially the three girls were facing second degree murder charges.
