Double homicide in Courtenay, B.C

RCMP responded to a home in Courtenay, on October 5th at around 3:10am on reports of a shooting. Police arrived at the scene to find a man and a woman dead, and two other men in the home. One of the two men was suffering from a gunshot wound.

The two men found in the home have been arrested, however there has been no word on charges. Police have not released the names of the victim’s or the accused as the investigation is still in the early stages.

DeeDee Williams found dead in Cadotte Lake

Peace River RCMP responded to a suspicious death of a man on Monday October 3rd in a home on Cadotte Lake where Police found DeeDee Williams 26, dead at the scene.

An autopsy was conducted in Edmonton and concluded that the death of Williams was homicide, however the have not released the cause of death.

Timothy Williams 21, has been arrested and is facing a second degree murder charge. The relationship between the suspect and the victim has not been released.

Vanessa Poucette charged with the death of Brennon Riley Twoyoungmen

Cochrane RCMP responded to a 911 call On October 1st at around 10:30pm on Stoney First Nation in Morley.

Police arrived at the home to find  Brennon Riley Twoyoungmen dead outside of the home. Police said Twoyoungmen was stabbed to death, in what seemed to be a domestic arguement.

Vanessa Poucette 46, was arrested and is facing a charge of second degree murder in the death of Twoyoungmen.

85 year old man charged with the death of his 80 year old wife

Calgary police were called to a home on Rideau Place SW, on October 4th on report of a death. Police arrived to find Audrey Van Zuiden 80, dead and her husband Siegfried (Fred) Van Zuiden 85, at the scene.

Fred Van Zuiden a WWII survivor and author of  “Call Me Mom” place the 911 call at around 4:15am to alert police of the death. Police said the death was “domestic in nature” but did not release the cause of death.

Fred Van Zuiden has been charged with second degree murder and is due to appear in court October 5th.

Update: Maninder Singh Sandhu shot to death at his workplace in Toronto, arrest made in Surrey BC

Police were called to BTI Cartage on October 1st at around 2:40 in the morning on report of an injured man. Police arrived to 325 Humber College Blvd to find the victim, Maninder Singh Sandhu 31, with obvious gunshot wounds.

Singh Sandhu was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police are looking for surveillance footage of the area in order to locate the assailant.

Update October 6th

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in nabbing Pardeep Chouhan 34, who is wanted in the shooting death of Maninder Singh Sandhu. Police say Chouhan is 6 feet tall, black hair and a scar beside his right eye. If you know where Chouhan may be or if you see him call 911. Police have advised not to approach him, as me may be armed and dangerous.

Update October 8th

Pardeep Chouhan of Brampton Ontario, was arrested by RCMP in Surrey BC, October 7th. Chouhan will be accompanied to Toronto by toronto police where he will face a second degree murder charge.

 

Update: Missing Japanese ESL student Natsumi Kogawa found dead in Vancouver

Natsumi Kogawa 30,  was reported missing on September 12th by a concerned friend after they made plans and Kogawa never showed up.

The body of Kogawa was found on the grounds of the  Gabriola Mansion in Downtown Vancouver on September 28th. at around 7pm. Kogawa was last seen  walking with a man in a surveillance video that was shot on September 8th.

William Schneider 48, has been arrested and at the moment has been charged with indignity to a human body.

An autopsy will be performed on October 3rd to determine the cause of death.

Update February 13th
William Victor Schneider, 49, charge was upgraded on February 10th to second degree murder.
