The body of Lonnie Leafloor, 56, was discovered May 2nd after a neighbour found Leafloor dead in his apartment at 1400 Lepage Ave.
Police said the body had been there for several days.
The cause of death has not been released and police have no suspects at this time. Police believe the death of Leafloor was targeted.

Leafloor died from a stab wound to the neck.
Mohamed Jama Abdi, of Brooks was reported missing on July 24. He hadn’t been heard from since July 14.
Even though his body has not been found Police are treating his disappearance as a homicide.
A Canada wide arrest warrant for second degree murder was issued for Ali Abdullahi Awale. Police believe that Awale boarded a flight to Somalia on July 23.
RCMP have found human remains in a farmers feild in Brooks, 10 months after second -degree murder warrants were issued in connection with Mohamed Jama Abdi. An autopsy will determine if the remains are of Abdi.
Lethbridge Police were called to a home on 18 Street North at around 9:40 pm on April 28th. On arrival they found Shelley Praill 54, suffering life threatening injuries from a stab wound.
Jessica Lee Ann Praill, 28, was arrested at the scene and later charged with second degree murder.
Police believe an argument between the two lead to the murder.
Nicholas Brophy 19, was last seen September 8 in Thompson a northern Manitoba city. Brophy’s family issued a public plea April 28th for information regarding Brophy and offered a reward $50,000 for his return.
Nicholas Brophy’s body was found April 26 just outside of Thompson.
April 30: Justin Noah Baker, 19, and Zach Edwin Linklater, 22, of Thompson, have been arrested. Both have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the teens death.
The cause of death has not been released.
On August 5th, police responded to a call about a body in a ditch near hwy 7. Officers said the body of 38-year-old Fernando Anibal Acosta was badly decomposed.

April 29th 2016:
Tevon Squire is currently in jail in Toronto, where he is facing second-degree murder charges in the death of Fernando Acosta.
Squire is also facing charges for the September Montreal murder of Nathaniel Reid.
Nathanael Hakim Reid 25, was stabbed near the corner of John-F.-Kennedy Street and Dollard Avenue on September 25th 2015.
Reid was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police have not named any suspects at this time.
April 29, 2016: Tevon Squire 20, faces charges in the death of Nathanael Hakim Reid. He is currently in jail in Toronto.
Squire is also facing a second degree murder charge in the August death of Fernando Acosta in Vaughan ON.
